Had the same experience trying to delete files from the PC. The others are right. Do it from the camera and formatting is less likely to garble things than selectively deleting.

Exactly the same experience. Sony card won't read. SD card no problem. Sony never misses an opportunity to make something proprietary that won't play nice with other hardware.

my guess is that you have turned on exposure bracketing. See "drive mode" in the manual (p. 68?).

One caveat I have yet to see in this thread is never to use the canned air typically used to blow gunk out of keyboards etc. The propellant in the canned air can crud up your sensor even more.

Long ago and for many years a K1000 user moved to *istDL when it first came out traded up to a K200D and just got my K500 as an early retirement/birthday gift which is likely to be my last DSLR. (no really! :p) Photography is strictly a hobby and I never seem to have enough time for it with my job as a programmer and amateur musical activities. Once retirement becomes a reality I expect that to change. A quick look around this forum uncovered a wealth of information and support.
