That is absolutely beautiful. This picture would make a wonderful puzzle or a print on metal. Great shot.

Pentax must survive. What's really amazing is that Pentax cameras and lenses are, for the most part, head and shoulders over the comparable models under other names. And the prices are more affordable for what you get. Is it marketing? Is it lack of name recognition? Is it poor management? Is it that Pentax cameras are more work horses and less trendy? Or is it that Pentax cameras demand excellence, and demand that their owners become familiar with the many options available outside of AUTO? Don't know the answers. But, I do know that Pentax is the best for what I want and for what I can afford.
Now, if they'd only improve the video quality. But, then, most serious photographers don't buy a DSLR for video. Right?

Love cat photos. Got a bunch of them myself. Nice looking cat, by the way.

Came across the Bay Bridge and had to hit the campground for some sunset shots.

I believe that is a reflection of the photographer on one knee. At least that's what it looks like to me.

For the most part, most all of us strive for the perfect picture or one that looks so professional that we get ooohs and ahhhhs from whomever looks at it. And that's great. But in that journey for the perfect picture, we often miss out on so many other pictures that, in our minds, would be just as meaningful, if not more.
What I'm getting at is this: In my many long years of taking pictures, I've found that when I look back at them, it's not the perfect sunsets, crisp exposures, or even the unique happenstances that make me smile; it's the pictures that have the best memories frozen in time. It's pictures of my kids in out-of-the-ordinary situations as they grew up; priceless photos of my grandparents and others that have passed on; shots of many of my cats that are no longer with me; and photographs of the places that I've been and will probably never see again. My screen saver is filled with pictures I've taken of family and friends, vacations, pets, parties, flowers, sunsets, and other shots that all bring back fond memories; memories that would probably be forgotten if not for those images.
So, shoot the good times and the bad, and all that is in between. Freeze those precious memories and pull them out from time to time. Smile, laugh, or even shed a tear of you feel the need. You'll not regret, I promise.

What would that be
Holding onto me
With spurs in my side
Irritating my hide
Perhaps he forgets
How riled up I get
I can hardly wait
‘Till they open the gate
For sure you can trust
I’ll make him eat dust
That's no bull
