I would also go for the DA18-135 in your situation. The WR will be helpful.

For me, in the *$601-750 range, a used 16-50 DA* was my best buy. I use it 90% of the time and it works great as a bad weather/fast lens and gets fairly wide at the 16 mm range.

I am happy with my current set up. If I were to redo it again, I would start with a 16-50 DA* followed by a DA 55-300 to get the majority of range covered. From there, either a FA 50 or DA* 55 followed by the Sigma 30mm
