Thank you very much! I've made this picture with the standard kit-lens from Pentax (18-55 WR) but in retro-mode which means I put the lens the other way on the camera body so you get this huge magnification. In this mode you can only focus by moving the camera back and forth also you have to open the aperture manualy. I hold the aperture in a very closed state and used the build in flash. Post production, including contrast and color correction made in lightroom to bring back the colors that I've seen in Liveview.

One of my best snowflake-macros which I've made last winter. Hope you enjoy the beauty of nature like me :)

I love to use old m42 lenses on my K01, and today a really nice one joined my collection. The Yashica Yashinon DX 135mm 2.8
I am a friend of shooting wideo open even though that means softness and aberrations and everything...but I like it anywhere :)
Here are 2 sample pics I took today with this lens...and I am in love with it!!

I've used a K01 with the standard Kit lens 18-55 WR but in retro mode so that I could make these extreme-macros. I've used the built-in flash with 800 to 1600 ISO, aperture manual opend and closed per hand at the backside of the lens. I only could focus by moving the camera back and forth so you need quiet calm hands for this kind of shots ;) but with a bit of practice, luck and passion you are able to capture stunning shots without a macro lens and even better magnification. I've shot from 1/30 up to 1/160 depending on the light situation.

Hello Everyone :)
My name is Simon and I am from Austria. I recently finished my education at college and now I am searching for a job as a photographer. For 7 years I've been working with Pentax cameras, starting with a K10D then came to a K7 and now I'm having a K01 which is in my opinion a wonderful camera even though very less like it. I'm specialised in nature photography, especially macro and nightsky. If you want to know something just tell me ;) and if you ever want to visit my FB page, here's the link https://www.facebook.com/VisionaryDaydreaming
