thanks everyone !
how good is the 35 macro vs the 40 f 2.8 ?
i think that i can buy a very good prime 35 to 50 mm
and thinking about tammy 70-300 or pentax 55-300.
i think if i have the 50-135 i will not carry it everytime.
i'm a lot confused !

hi, i'll buy a new lens but i can't choose about:
A) DA* 50-135 (800 euros)
B) DA 40 + DA 70 (890 euros)
C) DA 35 macro + DA 55-300 (750 euros)
i need good quality i now have
DA 16-45 (i use the most)
Tammy 28-75
Pentax F 50 1.7
Tamron adaptall macro 90 2.5
some takumar lens.
i had a pentax f 70-200 and i use it very rarely, so i really need the 50-135 ?
i don't like huge lens, i sold a pentax A 28-135 because it was a very heavy lens.
i don't know if 50-135 it's big. an if it's a prime killer.
please help me !

thanks everyones,
i think the 50-135 is the best choice for me,
i like the FA 50 F1.4 but i have also the F 50 1.7 and the takumar 50 1.4 so.
i don't know how better is the FA 50 f 1.4 than the F 50 f 1.7 ....
my shoots are usually between 35 / 90 i'm not a tele and big lens lover so
i'd like the 43 f1,7 and the 40 f 2.8 too
but too much money. so i think for the 50-135.

i have both lens and i use all of them differently, one don't substitute the other.
but i prefer the pentax because it's wider, but the 28-75 is more versatile.
i bought the 28-75 only because a found a used one for 200 euro.
the 16-45 it's my first choice, i thought about the 16-50 but i were scared
about the IQ problems so i bought the 16-45.

i bought 16-45 because the only 16-50 i found was defect !
it had front focus a lot ! and was a bit soft.
a big gamble !
i'm very happy and i have spent 250 $ less !
with no problems ! |

I'm plannig to buy a new lens for my camera and in future i'll buy a D20 or D200,
now i'm plannig to buy a "definitive" normal zoom lens. Atcually i have only the 28-70 F4 and the 50 F1,7 and i wanto to move to someting for walkaround.
I don't like to much tamron or sigma and i'm wondering for a DA*.
I wrote to pentaxitaly and pentaxUSA to know about DA*16-50 problems.
They told me that Pentax know all problems about it and now the controls on this lens are much high.
I've read all the posts about this questions but more are 3 or 4 months ago.
So what about, this is a common questions, and i hope to decide soon. I can't wait because next week i come to USA from Italy and i like to buy the lens for the trip.
So 16-45 or 16-50 is the questions, no other lens !
