Weather is dry most of the year with average annual precipitation of 2.36 inches. This place is known for searing heat in summer. Highest ever recorded temperature of 134 °F occurred not too far from this location on July 10, 1913. For fans of Star Wars IV, segments of the movie were filmed in Golden Canyon.

Thanks. I did notice the blur you have indicated. The rock is I believe very smooth and wonder that is making it less sharp in some locations. The unsharp locations are mostly at the edges and not sure if it is caused by the stitching software program.

Brilliant reflection from Tenaya lake on high Sierra at 8150 feet above MSL Yosemite National Park, CA. This alpine lake was formed by glacial action, which left a backdrop of smooth granite domes seen covered with ice and snow. Lake is very shallow with a maximum depth not more than 100 feet. This is a composite of two images using Photoshop Elements.

Desolate but beautiful landscape in Death valley CA where temperatures can soar to triple digits in summer. Earths highest recorded temperature of 134 degrees Fahrenheit (56.7 degrees Celsius) was set in Death valley on 10 July 1913. Plant by the side of the road is known as Arrowweed brush.

Brilliant reflection from Tenaya lake on high Sierra at 8150 feet above MSL with snow covered Medlicott Dome to the left and Tenaya Peak to the right. The alpine lake is very shallow with just about knee to waist deep waters, at least near the shoreline. You can pretty much see the bottom of the lake for quite a distance. Submerged rocks on the lake bed gave a nice foreground element to the overall composition.

Thanks. Yes, better scanning could have rendered this a lot nicer. The thrill was I had no clue as to how it will come out in the end.

Full moon light over Upper Yosemite falls viewed from the deck of Swinging Bridge just past mid-night. Kodak Ektar ISO 100 film and exposed 15 minutes using the bulb mode. This was my first try ever with night photography.
