Not to derail this thread, but I've noticed there are quite some Dutch people in this thread. Where do you buy your lenses? I'm having a very hard time finding stores that stock Pentax at somewhat reasonable prices...

Haha, nice to see TER-OR and Kerrowdown completely disagreeing on getting new lenses ;-)
For the Nikon I had the 18.5mm f/1.8 (which is about 50mm full-frame equivalent) and the standard 10-30mm kit zoom (approx. 26-78mm equivalent), but I rarely used the zoom. So that's why I want the primes :)

Hi!
Recently switched from a Nikon 1 V1 (a small interchangeable lens camera) to the awesome K500. It is so much better than the entry-level cameras from other brands that I tried... I have had a bit of buyer's remorse for not getting a more popular brand (which is useful for borrowing lenses and stuff), but that quickly subsides when I consider the advantages of the Pentax system :).
For now I only have the kit lens and my dad has a lot of old manual lenses that are very fun to use, but I'm looking to buy some of the fast normal-ish primes.
