It's too bad about the 18-35, on paper it sounds like such a great lens, but hearing all this about it's focusing issues...too bad...I love the bride on the beach, great shot.

Found this guy hiding up in a tree...saw a really long web going from the tree to the trampoline and followed it back to spot him hiding in the leaves...big spider, not poisonous so they make for great subjects.

more observant of your surroundings? This may not be exclusive to macro photography, but I notice, that I tend to look closer to the landscape around me for patterns or other things that might make for a macro shot - though I guess you could say the same for normal photography.

Aside from the missing cover in the lower left, I think it worked out great!

ISO 6400 - Usable!

So I came from a Canon 20d...and was use to certain limitations. Last week I found myself in the Muir Woods in California and it was late afternoon. I found myself sitting on iso 6400 most of the time because of how dark it was below all the trees and growth. I wasn't really holding out a lot for the shots, thinking I'd have to keep these at small sizes...

Well wasn't I pleasantly surprised to find some of them quite usable, and looked a lot better than I thought they would. Seriously...loving this camera!!!
