I delivered Meals on Wheels to an elderly woman today and took my Pentax K-3 because I knew that she had several gorgeous old outbuildings that might have some architectural element to photograph. As I photographed this, I heard some noise behind me so turned around to see the sweetest little waterfall. The lady is 90+ and lives alone at the end of a 1/2 mile gravel road....I can see why she stays...while very old and in need of some muscle, her home is peaceful and glorious!

I used my AF-540FGZ flash behind a softbox off-camera to the right side of the subject. We were in a fairly dark room other than the flash. This is my grandson, one of 11 that I photographed in this way for the team.

Forgive me if I'm looking at the numbers incorrectly, but it seems like the contest for June 2016, doesn't 54 replies top 35 replies tops 19 replies? How does the 54 replies come in as runner-up?

Hey all, we're going to Hawaii in December and I'm looking for the one prefect lens to take along with my Pentax K-3. I'm thinking maybe the Pentax smc FA 77mm f1.8, but I need some opinions 'cause I still have soooooo much to learn. I picked up on the 77mm on the Pentax website...maybe they're trying to sell a bill of goods, but it sounds like the perfect lens for both portrait, street photography and landscape, which of course will be the main focus. Does anyone have this lens and if so, would you recommend it? Or, do you have another lens you'd recommend? Thanks for the help!

Nice job. My favorite is the second...the one with the star trails. Love the beautiful softness of the sky. I haven't tried this yet, but I hope to soon.
