I don't have any lenses I don't like. I have some that I rarely use, but that's because they're not typically appropriate for what I'm shooting.

What about noise and dynamic range? M4/3 has little dynamic range and has lots of noise. To me, these are obvious when viewing.

I don't know anyone with a Sony camera and I've never seen anyone with one either. I see dslrs from Canon and Nikon, and phones and tablets.

I wouldn't do it. I don't know anything about them, and broadway camera or bccamera are not even listed at resellerratings. Moreover, that deal is worse than the B&H deal.

No, "M" lenses stay wide open during exposure unless you use the green button. "A" lenses stop down, but "M" lenses require green button use. I have two "M" lenses and if I don't use the green button, the aperture opens fully during exposure, regardless of aperture setting.

If it's an M lens, you have to set the green button to close down the aperture.

I say great, if you like that Sigma, and it works for you. Never used a DP2M, but I owned the SD9 briefly, and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Worst camera I've ever used. Unbelievably bad. It was severely lacking in features, slow as molasses, and the images were often noisy, and full of artifacts.

Similar to the K-3 comparison, my thoughts are that this is not a good comparison. The K-5 IIs photo is out of focus, less exposed, and taken an hour before the Sigma photo, under completely different lighting, with a different color balance. As a former Sigma SD9 owner (briefly), I'm strongly biased against Sigma, but that doesn't change what I noted. Also, the Sigma mountains look fake to me, like a 3D rendering from a 3D modeling program, but that is subjective.

I briefly owned a Sigma SD9 years ago. It was so flawed for general use, that I'll never, ever consider another Sigma camera. It was noisy, had color artifacts, poor dynamic range, jaggies, and the body was shamefully lacking in features and slow as molasses. Never again.
That photo looks okay, but it's difficult to compare them, because they weren't taken at the same moment, and the lighting is different.

A $100 price reduction is never "bad news" for a buyer or potential buyer. It is "good news" because I just received a $100 reduction on my order. My K-3, grip, and flash cost me only $946. 2 months ago it would have cost hundreds more.
