I can now join this club. Two days ago a friend gave me a Sigma UC 70-210mm/5.6 and a Sigma DL 35-80mm/5.6 for free. He had bought an old Pentax film camera from an auction warehouse and it was faulty so he didn't want the lenses.

Hi hrishi,

I did try the 1.4x TC. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in reality the lens is too slow with a TC, it's very slow going from close to infinity focus and mine hunted quite badly. When i did get a couple of lucky shots (which i can't seem to find now), the IQ was very good with the 1.4x, can't comment on the 2x though.
From my own personal experience with the 55 -300 i wouldn't buy this lens just for the intention on using a TC with it, you'll end up sorely disappointed, imo.

Very nice Heather. I especially like the purple colour in your flower shot. :)

I played around yesterday with the quick shift focus on this moonflower. The lens did pretty well, imo.

maxwell, i drool over the DA*300 but cannot afford it. I'm glad to help out a fellow Pentaxian with LBA. :D

I have two more pics taken today with the 55-300mm.
This one is more a cuteness factor because of the statue. I also liked the blue wall as a background and the greenery around the statue.

I think this cat was watching me more than i was him.

I can vouch for Ken, i recently purchased a 200mm off him and it was in great shape, packaged extremely well, and he was a real pleasure to deal with.
Someone should snap this up. :)

Simon, that servo won't be there from early next year. :( The owner of the land has sold it to the company that is developing the old ABC grounds. :( :(

I really do like the 135mm. I think it's going to become one of my favourite lenses. :)

Great shots from everyone again this week.

I decided to try out the TC 1.4x with the SMC Super Tak 200/f4 today. It sure made it a heavy combination, not something i'd want to carry around all day long.

This hive has grown since i last saw it.

Took my 135/3.5 and Super Tak 200/f4 with the 14x TC for a neighbourhood walk late this afternoon.

All these were taken with the 135/3.5
I love the lens, it's such a joy to use.

Tonight's sunset colours.

Some hand held night time shots with the 135/3.5

Peak hour.

Super Tak with TC 1.4

Check out the size of this hive.

All these pics have only been resized in medium and around the 100 -150KB for another forum

Jay, you did really well with not blowing out the white with the flowers, they are pretty too. My favourite pic though, is the one of the cat. :)

Those tower shots look great. The night time shot of it lite up looks really cool. :)

That should be great fun at Eastern Creek. :) I'm here every evening so that's no problem. :)

Tom, very nice colours of pretty flowers. :)

Simon, that tower is the bane of my existance. I wish someone would blow it up...LOL!!
I suppose it would be interesting seeing it from in the centre and looking up. It has so many things hanging off it since digital came in.

It's hard finding the time to use all the lenses we may have, isn't it.
Btw, have you had a chance to test out your new body? How is it, good i hope. :)

Have you decided yet on your 35mm?

Thanks Jay. Sadly i haven't had a chance to take the 135mm out again.

Nice shots Paul.

Great shots Tyson. Enjoyed seeing all of them.

You did good, ballgofar. :)

Such a wonderful shot of a beautiful baby, Jandon.

FruitLooPs, what a good freebie to get. :)

Excellent series of shots, tomtor. I love the shot from the M135/3.5

Lovely shot of a pretty flower, pentagor. I have only received the SMC Super Tak 200mm/f4 late last week. It sure has some weight in it. :) Haven't taken anything exciting yet with the lens, just some basic stuff checking sharpness and colours.

This is a section of a huge transmission tower across the road.

Super Tak 200mm/f4

Sign at the bus stop.

Hopefully, i'll get some time this weekend to go to a harbour spot and try out the TC 1.4x with the lens and get some decent shots.

I have 2x Kodak DX7590's which i'll never part with. I also have a Kodak P880 which has seen little use since getting my DSLR. I'm actually thinking of the selling the P880 to fund a lens purchase.

Lowell Goudge, i also have 2 DX7590's and would never part with them. They are such workhorses and they do produce wonderful colours/pics without too much fuss. As you mentioned, it would have been nice if it had SR, but that doesn't detract from the camera too much anyway. I've found when i use my Oly T-Con 17 with it, it doesn't do too badly at wildlife shots. :D

Wow! What an excellent array of shots from everyone this week. :D

I finally got some in focus shots with my 55-300mm without any dramas today.
It was great to see some blues sky too! :)

I liked the colour of these leaves in the puddle of water.
