I don't need much in the way of features, that's part of why I shoot film in the first place.
They could recreate the Voigtlander Bessaflex for K mount and add a multiple exposure switch and I'd be a happy chappy.

A deep blue with silver lettering would sway me. But jet black isn’t a great appeal over the regular look. I’m certain someone will buy them however. ---------- Post added 09-20-22 at 08:46 PM ----------
They address that and say that they dials and such can be seen at a slight angle. I’m guessing it’s easier than we might think but still a small bit harder than normal.

There is an announcement up today that Pentax is starting a Film Project, which includes the possibility of making new film cameras.
This announcement is in English too, so please take a look at the announcement, which explains some of the thinking behind this. PENTAX brand launches a film camera project focused on developing new film-based products along with camera fans?RICOH IMAGING
Personally, I think this is a good idea. This is something that is only possible because of the SLR design, so it gives the system more uniqueness over mottoes models. (Leica M is the only other one to do this)[COLOR="Silver"] ---------- Post added 12-20-22 at 01:48 AM ----------

Today I got the following answer from DXO about the optical module for the DA* 16-50 PLM:
Thanks for the additional sample images.
The optics team have confirmed that there's an issue with this module, and that they're aiming to release an updated version in February which will fix it.
Kind regards,
Steve - DxO Labs Support Team

Looks like familiar country to me. In 1979 I was working in the forests not terribly far north from here.
Nostalgia for me.
Angky.

Indeed. And my Minolta XE-7 still works beautifully. You should hear the sound of this Leitz vertical focal-plane shutter.

How about Digital Camera Utility 5, then? Yep, the quite capable RAW converter that came with your K-3. Admittedly, the UI is hopelessly dated and looks as if it has remained stuck in the early 2000s, but the software unlocks virtually all the features your camera brings to the table, and results-wise I've heard few complaints about what the software actually delivers.
Yes, it was probably always intended as a starter software to be included in the box. And yes, there will be a learning curve to using it meaningfully. But, then again, why not start with what's already there? Later, you can explore the various trial versions out there and upgrade to one of the commercial third-party offerings.
The latest version of DCU5 can be downloaded here, under "Software" (pick Windows or Mac OS): https://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/support/download_digital.html
If you should have lost your original CD, you can still install the software from a medium (e.g. a USB flash drive) that you have temporarily renamed "S-SW90". That tricks the software into believing it is installing from the original CD.

Years ago there was a free promotion of a reduced version of their software.

After a long period of silence, my desire to start shooting again was recently revived but it's been mainly due to needing an extra (of all things) video camera to shoot because my GoPro kept running out of batteries as I forget to turn it off so often. Glad this came up as it'll spur on my desire to head to the mountains more often at earlier times to find a good light and landscape. Hoping this Wed/Thursday rains will offer up some interesting scenes. Good luck everyone!

Good deal on the 16/2.0. With the discount it's about $100 cheaper than at stores or Amazon in the U.S.
I got one.
Thanks.

dcxpert | eBay Stores is the eBay store referred to by the OP. They are closely affiliated with CR Kennedy (the Australian Pentax distributor). DCXpert are highly reputable, I've purchased many high value items from them and can't fault them in any way.
I've never heard of DCcameras and it doesn't look like it's worth my time to find out.

Which is totally my mistake as I intended to link DCExpert. No doubt the "other company" is hoping others get name confusion by it as well. My sincere apologies, and thank you thank you, errant link removed.

I might be flying close to the sun here, but I notice that the Panasonic BLF19 (BLF19PP) and the D-LI90 ( like for the K-5 ) are essentially the same battery!
The contacts are the same +,T,-, except the Panasonic one gets a 4th contact marked (D).
The Pentax FACTORY D-LI90 has that 4th contact blocked off!
Both are 7.2V and 1860 mAh and it worked good in my factory battery grip of my K-5 (OG).
However, the charger locking slots found on the bottom/sides are different, and thus the batteries require different charging docks UNLESS you extend out the panasonic locking slot.
In the side pictures, the panasonic is the one that is on the left, and you can see the slots are significantly shorter.
You could also use the panasonic charger if you grind down the second locking nub ( the one furthest from the electrical contacts ) on the charger.
However I haven't modified either of my batteries or charger, so I can't say for certain yet.

Pentax Astrotracer test the O-GPS2 in the k3lll, we can lengthen the exposure a lot and quick to calibrate.
With English subtitles.

I do the same, but there’s not much there that I’m tempted to buy right now, having added the DFA70-210, DFA28-105, DFA50 and DFA21 in the last couple of years, along with a K-3iii. If the reported 24-90 appears soon, I could be in the market for one to replace my 28-105, not to mention a successor to the K-1/ii.
For others, I agree that it’s a good time to pick up some new Pentax gear.

Backorders are also being taken for the HD Pentax-DFA 100/2.8 Macro ED AW at nearly $200 less than I paid for mine :(
Get in fast if you want a silver one though - I understand CRK will only be getting three units, and two are spoken for!
