Granddaughter looks through a hollow log during an outing at a sculpture garden. I was thinking I'd get a photo of her at one of the sculptures, but this was an "in-the-moment" idea which I am glad I pursued.

This is one of my favorite rose images and I decided to play around with converting it to B&W and apply split-toning in the attempt to come up with a gold color. I also added some vignetting from the original image. Not my usual rose image...:)

Yes, once you have calibrated your exposure index and development time, most photos fall
into the same contrast range. That part is not so difficult to learn. The complicated (and fun)
part is how to make photos worth printing, framing and hanging.
