Also, the prices on any K3 II or even K3 will plumet. and a 400 to 500$/€ K3 is a mighty tempting offer. all the shooting options alone !

that is a possibility. since a 23 april launch date is about 3 to 4 weeks before an arrival in europe or the states. then again, for the state versions it will probably come from the west, through the pacific route. I'm guessing if the don't get that ship moving in the next week. it will be delayed for at least a month.

hello!
any of you people have the same issue??
when trying to connect to the reviews here are a few sample messages I keep getting:
I cannot connect to the ReviewPost database. [$php_errormsg]
I cannot connect to the Members database. []
I reload a page a couple of times and then it works.
is this normal?

seriously who care about a flipping screen (pun intended) if the cams got a screamer of a sensor, great VF and a AF system which can hold its own. I'd trade a movable screen for one "godlike AF" center point which never, ever misses and work from there.

I have two K30, both are working fine (and abused beyond belief, including rain, falls, snow, sleet, humidity, dust and salt). what where they selling you state side?? see them on the back to the right.

K1 XT FF (sports and terrain camera) 20 Mpx - 16 fps - 2K €
K3 II APS-c 24 Mpx - 8 fps 1k €
645 Z II 100 Mpx - 3 fps 7K €
K2-S 20 Mpx - 0,5K €
Q & WG 16 Mpx - 0,3K €
Don't forget that they also have binoculars and telescopes...
do check out the industrial output of ricoh, it's so much more.
the range is complete.
No other company has this reach or this offer. bar none...
It"s insane to think that a third tier company far far from close to 50 % market share of the big twin can boast this sort of feat.

what do you mean by 1:1 crop mode? I tried the K1 in Brussels on the 5th and the camera with an APS-C type lens on it (tried my own 16-50 mm) would have Three modes :
If I was with the FF , there would be a large black fringe on the picture. Funny but ultimately a gag.
If i was in FF mode and camera was told there was an APS-C lens on it, the camera would put up a thick black line on the image, through the VF? can't remember, indicating what as not going to be taken into account when the camera would take a picture (very useful when you're following something around)
if the camera was in APS-C mode out would not even register or show anything else but the APS-C image. active cropping of some sort.

so campion finally accepted the RICOH deal from pentax france?? where he was supposed to expose the whole stock from pentax and maintain another stock of equipment under the counter, AND be able to lend stuff to other shops when the pentax commercial rep said so?

Oh yeah ,and for those of us who where in Belgium and wanted to buy just one of their last lenses (for me it was the 150x450), the commercial rep. wouldn't sell the shop just one piece. the shops here had to buy more than just one (the whole range in fact). That commercial rep from france basically killed the market in belgium over 6 months ...

it's just a mind game. First they show you a mock up with a date in the near future, then they announce delays and somehow somebody screws it up and show you a premod? riiiiight.
What wan we take from this?
a) the camera looks the piece: mean, dense, pro, equipped with the right stuff in the right places.
b) this is serious, not some bob of plastic
c) Ricoh delivers on their promises, even with a tad bit of delay, they have not screwed the faithfull awaiting the arrival of the FF. Waiting for Ricoh to get it right won't hurt the brand that much.

I do, i mean i've got that one covered. The 300 mm on it's own is magic, slap on the 1,4x and it becomes slow, sluggish and unrelieable. I'd shoot the 300 mm all day and crop to the max over a 1,4xed 300 mm. I've tried, invested in several days of shooting to learn how to use the TC with the 300mm , even went as far as to say I was the slow and sluggish one, in the end returned to 300mm with no TC.
Not convinced about the 560. I'd love to try one though, to get my own opinon of said subject.

+1 on long lenses.
Even if they are only produced to order. Will they ever be a replacement for the 600mm, or the 1200 mm?
