I had to look up your gear before I knew what gear you had, and I can see that you have made what you could do to use the 18 mm. It is a lovely moderate wide angle lens. I think there are some cameras that have some better kind of focussing help for manual focussing lenses, allowing easy and quick focussing. Regarding the adapter with the built in iris aperture that I bought for some 75 US dollars, last time I looked it seemed Rjcamera did not list it anymore. Maybe it was a prototype small series, that once it was sold out was considered to be a dead end, so it was dropped. It is a pity, because I think these lenses are fine miniature specimens from a bygone era, still useful for real photography of people, but of course not good enough to produce sharp and contrasty corners when test-shooting brick walls.
I sometimes wish for some kind of loupe that would give me an enlarged picture of the viewfinder, as that has better definition than the rear screen. Maybe my camera has some function hidden away in the menues, but I have not yet bothered to read the manual in detail. Many pictures were ruined because of wrong focussing, when I could have sworn I had focussed correctly in the viewfinder. Later I found that one can view a picture enlarged 14x. That would help of course, but it does slow things down a bit. I can definitely understand why autofocus lenses are popular, but I do not have one, except on my old Kodak 6Mp point and shoot.

I regularly use the 18 mm as a very portable wideangle and the 50 as a short tele. From Rjcamera I got this adapter that work like a charm. I feel much better when I can stop down at least one stop. The Pentax 110 lenses I have are useless in tests against a demanding brick wall. Luckily life is more than brick walls. Of course focussing with the 18mm is a pain if you have not prgrammed one of the function keys so you get a makeshift focussing help according to instructions i found on Dpreview's forum.
The 24mm rear end had to be shortened because the Aperture Housing prevented infinity focussing. That lens vinjettes heavily. It is so small and cute but I consider it the least useful of my three lenses, Although it is of the same construction type as a planar lens. On the other hand I never owned a 50mm during my analogue days, 35 and 90 or 100 was good enough for me. So if anybody would ask me if they should get a Pentax110 24mm to their m4/3 camera, I would say "don't bother, get the 18 and 50 instead.
You can get rubber lens shades, either directly or by step up rings to the 30.5 mm on the 18mm and the 37.5mm on the 50mm. Be prepared to grind down some of the rings or lens shade fittings in order to get rid of vinjetting caused by whatever you fit in front of the lenses. I even delicatedly shortened the filter thread on at least one of the lenses to get rid of vinjetting.
I feel one can safely say that those lenses are not for those pixelpeeping picture corners, but could serve a private photographer well. Back in the old days it felt good to have the camera and two lenses in a largish short bredast pocket. Now the camera is bigger, but the lenses are not, although lens shades makes them a lot bigger, but it still a very smaklöshet but definitely useful combination, If you have an electronic viewfinder on your camera, you must get instructions about the make shift focussing aid from dreview forum.

I just joined Pentaxforum so please forgive me if I´m breaking any forum etiquettes, but as I was using my Pentax Auto 110 camera with wide angle and a portrait tele lens back in pre-digital days, I thought I would share my experiences of late with these lenses. I have used these lenses on my Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera body, with an adapter with inbuilt Iris aperture. Recently I also bought a 24 mm. So I have a moderate wide-angle, a normal and a short portrait tele lens. If there is anybody interested in what my findings are, I will be happy to tell my tale,
