Hi: I'm attending my nephews wedding next month. As I normally take pics of scenery. I plan on taking pics of all the guests as they arrive. I'm not sure what the setting is going to be like? Not sure which lens to use with my Pentax K5IIs. I'll only have one chance at this! I have a variety of lenses but not sure which one to use? If I have to I will buy one. Pics will be from head to toe. Any suggestion's would be welcome. Thanks
:)

Hi: I don't know if you have or ever held a K-4IIs? Although a bit heavy it's is well known for being extremely rugged, it feels rugged! Much better than the plastic Canon, or Nikon! OH floor is a regular kitchen tile! I use it daily rain or shine, bumps, bangs, seems to be able to take it. Takes pretty good pictures, still waiting for that fantastic shot!! Silkzone

Hi: I have a K-5IIs I had it sitting on the kitchen table, with the strap hanging over the edge. Well I have CAT! Needless to say she liked the strap. I saw what was happening, but was to late  With a thundering crash it hit the ground!! Not sure who was more scared, the cat or myself? I picked up the camera assuming it was DOOMED! I turned it on & to my surprize it did, took several pictures & it worked perfectly  Small scuff mark on it, kinda gives the camera some character now! OH my favorite lens was on there also 35-70mm that is more than 25 years old, it also survived the ordeal. So I'm impressed needless to say! DON'T try this at home!! Silkzone

I retired from the Canadian Armed forces a few years ago and now live in the Ottawa Valley area of our fair country. While I was in the army I travelled the world but was a silly young man and didn't take advantage of the many opportunities I had to take pictures of all the wonderful places and things I saw.
I regret that but am trying to make up for it now as an enthusiastic amateur photographer. I take my camera with me everywhere I go and would love to add this lens and put it to use.
As a retired veteran, I have time and more patience now to create beautiful photographs as opposed to just snapping a picture. I recently bought a Pentax K5IIs and I must say it's a great camera. This lens would give me even more photography options.
My sisters and I have a blog and we challenge each other weekly to take pictures that stretches us just a little bit so that we learn something new or find a new way to take a picture of everyday items. Our friends and family vote for their favorite picture and offer advice or tell us what they liked or didn't like about our pictures. It helps us become better photographers. this lens would help even more.
I also joined a Meet-ups photography group here in Ottawa area and have gone out with this group to take pictures. The more seasoned photographers seem happy to share their knowledge with the rest of us. I'd love to be able to show off this new lens the next time I am out with the gang.

Thanks. I'm in a completion with my two sisters. One of them has a Nikon D300 which is nowhere near a K5IIs She can save the first pic in some sort of a file on the camera, & use it later! You mentioned bracketing, now I'm going to have to look into that? No idea what that is!! I guess I'm going to have to go out & get some sort of Photoshop thing! My sister has Elements12 say's it's great! What do you think or would you suggest something else? OH I'm not a million air, more like a dollar air! Thanks Silk

Hi: I recently discovered that my camera can do multi exposures. One question, can I take my first pic. then save it for later use. What I mean is use camera for other pictures. Then use the multi exposed pic. from earlier? It's on page 136 of the manual, but say's nothing about that.:(
Thanks Silk:) OH sorry camera is a K5IIs....

Hey Adam: I can't see it in the Pentax software? Looked all over, even adjusted some of the pics, but I don't see the conversion part? Also the camera should do it I found where it is & can do one at a time. But there is a multiple pics thing I check all the pics, but then there's nowhere to go from there?? Is there a decent Pentax user manual on line somewhere? Thanks Silk

Hi: Thanks for your response. I see where I can change them on my camera, I've done a few single pics., But when I try to do multiple pics I check them, then there's nowhere to go?? I have the book but can't find anything in it!! I'm trying to find the manual on line, but seems to be hid somewhere! I have two Pentax P5s so much easier then! Thanks again. Silk

Hi: I did a night shoot downtown last night, froze half to death:( Anyway, I set my K5IIs on raw! The pictures turned out not bad? But I want them in Jpeg form also! Now my question is I took some pics recently & they were in Raw & jpeg these are just in raw form. I want both, I find jpeg's are easier in some ways to work with? Why did these just come up in raw form. I'm old school & lost here in The Great White North! Thanks Silk:)
