If Y'all like "Exotic" food, check out Balut. (but I would NOT recommend eating it)!

Patty's pictures are almost exclusively wildlife. So the longer lens helps out a lot.

It sounds like Y'all are as nuts (meaning GOOD folks!) as on a knife site I am a member of. I guess when I said Truck I should have said PICKUP truck. ;)

Thank you folks. Right now the 55-300 Pentax lens is on the K3 we just bought Thursday and it will probably stay on that camera. The K5IIs is host to the Sigma 18-250. I am gathering Y'all think that we would better served with a Pentax 18-270 or 18-250 than the Sigma lens, is this right?

MY wife has a K5 IIs with the Sigma 18-250 lens. Would her picture quality be better with a Pentax lens with near the same zoom range. We just bought her a new K3 with the Pentax 55-300 lens and IT IS FANTASTIC! BUT we were wondering if a new Pentax lens on the K5 would give us a better picture quality

Just got my wife a K3 and Pentax 55-300 lens Thursday and she loves it! She also has a K5 IIs with a Sigma 18-250 lens. Although she has only been into the QUALITY DSLR cameras for 13 months she can already tell a difference in the picture quality. And the K3 is FAST in auto focus, something she has been hesitant to use before. We cruise a place called "Mingo National Wildlife Refuge" In Southeast Missouri and probably 99.99 percent of her pictures are from the truck. Basically a cruise and shoot affair.

Hi all. Just joined 3/23/14. I'm actually here for my wife, she's the photo bug in our family. I'm just the driver.

I am retired Air Force and have been working as a Law Enforcement Dispatcher since Jan of 1994. Other than that I live a pretty boring life. I just enjoy spoiling my wife with her passion, photography and drive her around to get pictures when we can.
