I've sold my Pentax gear two or three years ago, only because there is no Pentax market share in Argentina (buying equipment online wasn't an option due to the fact that import taxes double the actual cost of the product) . Nevertheless I keeped the M and A lenses and I'm looking to get a k5 ii just for fun. I own a d610 and really miss the Pentax feel.

Well, if the manufacture date was changed (they wrote the old date in the new board), they should write your actual shutter count in the memory register that stores this number too, is not that hard, specially if you know your own board..

The shutter isn't reseted, what happens is that the main board is replaced and that's where the previous count was saved so.. yes if you upgrade your K1 you'll have a board that thinks the camera has never been used (but it actually has).

The thing is that i've purchased the lens to use it in the me super and it would be nice that the lens was fully functional with that camera.

Yes, it has been shortened. I was looking for a broken lens but so far i got no luck. I'm also looking for a DIY fix, perhaps i can glue something to little piece of the lever that still remain in the lens, but i don't know if it's viable

Hey guys, i get this lens (pentax-m 50mm 1.7) for $10 but it seems like the old owner have cuted the aperture lever and the viewfinder darkens when i close the aperture. I realy want to fix it but i can't get the part, Have someone any ideas how could i fix it? (some DIY fix)

I have several front focus with my k5 (with my 2 af lenses) when I use LiveView, but I've used LiveView around 5 times in 2 years so isn't a problem for me..

Are you shooting with the 2s or 10s timer? If this is the case the SR will be forced off no matter what lens is mounted in the camera.

Thanks! should i cover the extra pins with tape? Only the center one is needed for triggering the flash, and i don't know if those pins would make contact with the camara hot shoe.

Hi all, is it safe to shot with a Canon speedlite 540EZ with a pentax K5 camera?, i've read that the trigger voltage is 3.75V, and the flash works in M mode (the camara is in x mode).
