Hi Ron, thanks, it surely helps.
On the k20d there's already a CMOS sensor instead of Ccd as in K10d but also K20d has lower performance in terms of higher ISO and fast shutter speed than k-x . And the reference to tripod I didn't consider at beginning but it's a main point to think about.
It can help also for my other question, and it confirms that k20+18-55,and k-x+70-300 is a good choice but in case of use of tripod , I could have better performance with the 70-300 on the k20. I have to have fun, as Ismael already sai ;-)

What about the Ccd sensor? I saw some photos from k10d and I like the effect of Ccd more than from CMOS dslr sometimes. Do you agree? Or can it be that it was more depending by the objective ?

Hi Ismaelg,
I find your suggestion very good and it was also what I was doing following my instinct , so the 50mm f/1.7 or 60-120 f/2,8 on the k20, 18-55 on the kx and when lowlight the kx.
The next question is what if using only the 18-55 and 70-300 ?
Is it correct k20+18-55 3.5-5.6 and kx+70-300 f/4-5.6?

Hi all,
I have a Pentax k-x and a k20d. My question is : if I would go with both camera around, what is your suggestion, when to use the k-x and when the k20, for example in portraits, landscape, macros, night ... ?
I have more objective, so the idea would be for example one camera with a wide angle and the other with a tele.

Thank you very much Cowi for the nomination.
I have many other portraits of my daughter but I liked this one especially for the expression and her sight looking somewhere else :-) sorry in Italian I could express myself better ;-)
I never make post processing of my photos,'cause this is the reality and I have the feeling to modify it with a post processing. If the photo is what I've seen, then it' ok to me.
I would also appreciate to become comments or critic or suggestions related to this photo, also if not a nomination. Thanks you all in advance.

Great. I nominate it .
I've seen a lot of photos that are not my style: too abstracts or with a lot of post processing, or with a lot of technick or fruits of professional photografers ideal for publicity. It should be not interpretated as a critic but as my opinion :
what I see in this photo and I like is to capture a moment, to suscitate emotions, to let open interpretations . Great :-)

Hi all,
My name is Pietro and I'm new in pentaxforum. I'm Italian and living in Munich.
I love to make photo, and I bought my first dslr in 2010, a k-x Pentax .
I love Pentax and I have also a k20d camera, that makes me very happy and I recently bought a cosina ct-1a , in order to learn the world of analog cameras.
I put till now only a photo in the k3 forum contest, but my intention is to put more fotos in the future.
Nomination would be great, but more of all I would greatly appreciate to receive a critic to this photo and the next one that I'll put. I want to learn and enjoy always more the Pentax world :-)
I was so enthusiastic to see how many beautiful and very interesting photos are in your forum :-)

I nominate it.
It's a great portrait and black and white is not escalating the contrast but instead making him more human. I liked also the story about the photo, I had many times the feeling that it's not permitted to shoot a photo.
And many times it happens also that shooting the photo is like to stealing from my mind: better enjoy the moment and look at the photo like it would have been :-)
