I don't know about my best photo but this is my best recent photo of one of my favourite subjects. The skeletal remains of the once finest pier anywhere, the West Pier in Brighton, England captured at sunset. A tough latter life of neglect, arson and the elements have transformed it into an enigmatic sculptural form:

The shot was taken in Bagan, located on the banks of the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) River in Myanmar. It is home to the largest and densest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world with many dating from the 11th and 12th centuries.
