I'm assuming you contacted eBay and the seller as well? I've been leery of buying any "new" 67ii because I was concerned that I'd be in your position, or worse.

I used a Pentax K1000 in school about ... years ago, but then back in the 1990s I got the Pentax 67ii system and found myself shooting less and less 35mm stuff. Now I'm doing a lot of digital, but I still love taking the 67s out as well.
Yes, I am a dinosaur. Or maybe a Troglodyte. It depends on your point of view, I guess. :lol:
