Hi,
I just got me the original Q again after I sold it last year. I missed the fun :)
As soon as I got it I updated the firmware and started shooting. My problem is that every time I take out the battery to charge it, I have to set the time and date again. EVERY time ! I remember that that was not the case with my old Q. Does anyone else have this problem?
My Firmwareversion is: 1.14
Thanks!

I've been using the GR for more than a year now and now my Grip is changing from black to white.
There are quite a lot of white stains over the grip and it looks pretty ugly. I tried to remove them with a wet and soft cloth. It works first but as soon as the grip drys the white stains appear again.
Does anyone of you have the same problem? And if so how did you fix it? I've been thinking of getting the half case just to cover it up but I'm using the Clearviewer which mounts to the tripod thread, so that's a no go.
Thank you for any help!

it IS possible!
You take a shot in RAW or RAW+ Mode and then you preview it and press the Menu Button. Then you select "Raw Development" or "Raw Conversion". That's what I think it's called in the englisch GR Menu. Mine is german.
Then you can apply the Effect and save it as a JPEG. I hope this is what you are looking for? The GR has one of the most sophisticated In-camera Raw development options I've seen.

Just installed it. The AF is A LOT faster in my opinion. But you first have to turn the AF-Mode to High-Speed in the Set-Up Menu after you install the firmware. It works waaaaay better in Low light now and also faster in good light conditions :D
What I dont get is the "Shift-Crop" Effect. It just takes a picture in square format o.o I could do that before by just changing the aspect ratio

I thought this thread was about the GR?
Anyways a new GR with an updated 24Mpix Sensor would be amazing! It would make the crop Modes much more useful! Other than that..I think the current GR is near perfect for me. The only thing that bugs me with the current GR is the low framerate of the display and the low light autofocus.

That's really true! Image Quality and Handling of the GR are outstanding. The Q7 would give me that awesome Wideangle zoom and that 2.8 aperture zoom which I could use sometimes at concerts. My other alternative would be to just keep the GR and get a bridgecamera with it

Yes all of the accessories :) if you buy the Ricoh GR + all the Ricoh accessories you get about the same price as the Pentax Q7 Premium Kit (at least in Germany).
(...I actually meant the Premium Kit of the Q7 and not the Complete Kit in my first post but I cant edit it)

Hello Pentax/Ricoh Community!
Right now I own a Ricoh GR Kit which is almost complete. I have the Viewfinder + Hood and Filtertube + UV Filter for it. The only thing missing is the Ricoh GW-3 Wideangle Adapter which I planned to purchase next month. I really enjoy the camera and it's handling is really great!
Now i also had the original Q which was the most fun camera i have ever used. I was also very impressed what Pentax could squeeze out of such a small sensor.
I just saw that the Pentax Q7 Complete KIT is also available here and it's reeeaaallyy tempting. I need some time (and maybe some insight from you guys ;) ) to think about it first, but what would you do if you could choose freely between the two?
Complete Ricoh GR Kit or the Pentax Q7 Complete Kit?
I'm looking forward to your opinions :)
