The f-stop won't stay unless I hold the aperture ring

Ok so when the lens is on the camera the aperture won't hold, like when I move the ring to a higher f stop it slings back to a lower f stop and vice Versa, any ideas why it's doing this?

Thanks everyone for the help, I took the lens apart and a part was detached from another a bit difficult to explain, but I got it fixed

I'm not sure which version I picked the camera and lens up from a thrift store

Yes when the ring is rotated that coupling lever moves, and when the other lever is moved the aperture springs open like you said. When I move the ring though the aperture does not move unless I move the lever. Do you know how to fix this

Hi I am new to this website so this may have already been covered, but I have a ricoh kr-10 super and a ricoh 50mm the aperture seems to be broken on the lens. When I move the ring on the lens the aperture does not open or close, but when I move the notch on the back of the camera it will open and close. Can I fix this myself?
