Simply to say, you are lying since you even don't have a statistic of the market for the needs of FF Pentax DSLR. Why doesn't the Pentax company release 10000 FF DSLRs to the market and see the response? Disputing here is helpless and meaningless.

How to Use a Nikon manual lens on a Pentax DSLR body

The main point of this article is that a Nikon manual lens can be used on a Pentax DSLR body directly without an adapter.

Some people said the lens mount must be modified or take an adapter to mount a Nikon F-mount AI or Non-AI lens onto a Pentax DSLR body. I don't agree with these opinions. Please look at the picture on the website so that you will learn how to mount a Nikon AI or Non-AI F-mount lens onto a Pentax DSLR body. I also believe that a Nikon F-mount AIS lens can also work in the same ways that the pictures shown.

AI-type Nikon F-mount lenses are just ok on a Pentax k-mount body. You even don't need to modify the lens's mount. You just need to turn the lens a little bit to left or right (depends on which side you are looking at the camera and the lens. After it is mounted and when you hold the camera to take a picture, the aperture center mark should be tilted to left) and try to find a best position to connect them. The connection is tight enough for most prime lenses as long as the weight is moderate, so that you are free to change aperture and focus. I am not sure whether the connection is secure or not if a lens is too weight.

With my experience, Both Non-AI and AI Nikon lenses can work on a Pentax body directly without an adapter. The focusing distance is exactly as the distance marks on the AI lenses, and a little bit change on the non-AI lenses but focusing on infinite is still ok.

However, you must be very careful when you try to mount a Nikon lens onto a Pentax body. "Tightened enough" is enough. It should not be over tightened, otherwise it may hurt your camera body's mount.

I wish you could understand that it is "a lens dwells onto a camera body" but not "a camera body dwells onto a lens".

I would like to say it is a rebuilding of the "houses" for the lenses when a camera body (a house) was changed from film to digital. Unfortunately, the rebuilt houses are not the best ones for the lenses due to some technical issues in the history. This means that we should or must rebuild them again when all technical issues have been solved.

However, you might not be able to do what you want to, and Your lenses might loss their values, if the "house" doesn't exist or is not good enough. I can predict that the price of old manual k-mount lenses will go up if Ricoh/Pentax releases a FF DSLR body that still supports them, and the company can take back more occupation of its products including the newly designed AUTO/Manual lenses.

Simply to ask and answer:

(1) would you like to buy K-3 if K-01 is FF format and the price is $1099~1199? I will definitely not if I were you. I will buy a "FF-format" K-01.
(2) Which could make more money for Pentax company if K-01 were in FF-format rather than in APS-C format? I strongly believe the FF-format K-01 could do.

But now, pentax have lost the opportunity after Sony launched its a7-series. But it still have opportunities if Ricoh/Pentax release a FF-body since the users have being expected it for a long time. A "house" is always more important than a "stuff" in it. People always tend to spend more money on a "house"----camera body than on a "home stuff" ----- lens. As long as the "house" market is large enough, the lens market will be large enough.

I either don't know or can predict a consequence if Ricoh/Pentax decide to give up k-mount lenses as well as their users when the company release a FF camera body. But I could say many people should be very disappointed.

Maybe one or two modern AUTO/Manual lenses, but most of them should be the old pure Manual FF lens that I already have. I love these pure manual lenses just for fan, and they are solid without possible electrical issues in future. I will never worry about them, and any repair job will be much much simpler and easier with very low costs. In addition, the old manual lenses may help to extend the lifetime of your modern AUTO-focusing lenses in a very low cost.

If Ricoh/Pentax launch FF body, I won't by a Sony a7 series, but if it doesn't, I might have to buy one with an adapter for my old Pentax lenses on it.

A camera body is just like a "house" and lenses are like something that people bought for the house. An APS-C camera body is not the best to the pentax manual lenses since it reduces the performance of the lenses, and the lenses specially designed for an APS-C body are something like "chicken ribs". Ricoh/Pentax should take the advantage of the market occupation of its old manual lenses to expand the market of the FF DSLR cameras, and the expansion may conversely help it to expand the market of its AUTO FF lenses. There should be no opportunity for developing AUTO FF lenses and expanding the market occupation if there were no a sufficient market occupation of the "houses"----FF camera body.

In my opinion, Pentax shouldn't develop APS-C cameras at the beginning of DSLR for it would like to provide a special support on a DSLR body for its old manual lenses. So, even both the K-01 and K-3 are bad strategical choices on the way that Pentax was going on, especially in the time when FF sensors had been popularized. The K-01 might be a great opportunity for both Pentax company and its users before Sony launched its a7 series if it were a FF-body design and the price at $1099~1199 rather than in APS-C format and the price at $599~699. I will never buy one K-01 or K-3 even if their prices are decreased to 1/3 of the current since I don't want to continue to play my old lenses with a APS-C body any more.
