You're right, I don't care what others think...I just don't want to give a friend reason to believe or mouth off their brand of camera to be 'superior.' Especially when witnessing something like this mirror flop malfunction. What I'm trying to say is that I know that Sh*t happens to all, none are exempt, but it sucks to be you during that period of time. Like Microsoft Windows crashing on Bill Gates during the next version of Windows presentation, or an Apple malfunction during an Apple presentation.
All that aside, I updated the firmware, and so far have not experienced this issue...

*SIGH*
This is the first time this happened to me. K-3 body with grip accessory. Camera set to manual function & single frame shooting. In the middle of shooting it locked up on firing the shutter in rapid succession (machine gun). I had to turn the camera off, then back on to gain control of normal camera function. I think this happened when the camera switched from the low battery in the grip to the battery in the camera body. This happened with firmware 1.03. I removed the grip, and flashed the K-3 firmware to 1.21. I hope this won't happen again, especially in front of other photographers.

Thank you! I'm suprised how far editing on an android tablet is continuously evolving, even just for casual shots. Though not even close to editing on a pc with commercial software, but fun and instant for shooting on the go. This image has noise, but was easily created on the fly, after using a flash triggered wirelessly.

Thank you for your nomination and critique. I had also thought if perhaps making the subject appear as to be in motion by having him hang onto the handlebars only with his small body in air, and some what lifting the bike as if the character was popping a wheelie...( if I spelled that correctly).

Thank you both for your comments / observations. Who said toys are only for kids?

First post as a new forum member! Hello all, name is Isaac Jimenez from San Antonio, Texas, and what can I say...I love Pentax. I picked this image as my submission to the win a K-3 contest. Was out and about having fun learning off camera flash and bought this little kinex toy as my subject (and as a piece of nostalgia) and created this photograph. Photo was uploaded to android tablet via eye-fi card, and edited using snapseed. Cheers, and good luck to all contestants! |
