I've had one for years. I bought it on PF marketplace when they were very popular. I think I paid around $250 for it. It is one of my most used lenses. It's much better than the 18-55.

I have had mine for several years and I love it. At one time it was very well regarded here on the forum. I use it more than any other lens especially when traveling.

I recently bought one from Prodigital 2000. They told me that it has a 6 year Canadian warranty. If I needed repairs I would have to send the lens to them and they would forward it to Tamron's Canadian repair center. They would then send it back to me and even pay the shipping to me. I have it in writing. I was very happy with my transaction with them. They are a Tamron dealer. Your mileage may vary if you purchase from another dealer.

I have pretty good luck photographing vehicles with my DA16-45. It used to be very popular and it's cheap!

Just as a follow up, FedEx tried to deliver my lens yesterday but I wasn't home to sign for it. I got it this morning. It was shipped in a sturdy box w/bubble wrap inside. That's some super fast service all the way from Canada to north central Kansas! I'm glad I didn't pay the $8.98 for the better shipping. Hope the weathers nice this weekend for some testing.

I have a thread from the other day asking about other's experiences with the company and all were very positive. I ordered last night around midnight. I sent them a message this morning asking about warranty. They replied right away that it has a 6yr Tamron Canadian warranty. If I need warranty work done, they said I would have to return the lens to them and they would forward the lens to Tamron for repair and then they would ship it back to me. They said they even paid return shipping back to me. I received shipping notice and UPS tracking number about an hour ago. So far so good!

I just ordered a Tamron 70-200 from ProDigital2000 for $599.99 w/shipping. That's a fantastic price that I couldn't turn down especially with the rumors that this lens may not be available new much longer. It has a 6 year Canadian Tamron warranty and they will forward it for repair for you if needed. This may help you decide!

I'm thinking about ordering a lens from prodigital2000 on ebay. I've never ordered anything from Canada. Will I have to pay any extra import fees? Any recent feedback on the company or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks. I do have a lightsphere and a flash bracket but I was thinking of some kind of softboxes or umbrellas. I've never used them so I know nothing about them.

I am new to off camera flash and need to order a flash modifier to use at a wedding on Sept. 5th. I'm going to use a cactus v6 and RF-60 flash. I also have a Pentax 360. It's a small informal wedding in a glass chapel (windows all the way around). There are just too many choices. I don't want to have to order a million different items before I find the right one.

This is probably going to sound stupid but I have a question about auto ISO in AV mode. My K100 and K20 both had auto ISO in AV mode. My K5 never has. I have to hit the ISO button and change the ISO manually when in AV w/the K5. It changes automatically in TAV but I use AV almost all the time. Is this normal or do I have something not set right in the menu or is my camera screwed up? Warranty runs out this month so I need to ship it back if it's screwed up.

I asked her if it was possible the add was incorrect. She said the lens was as advertised. I told her that their price seemed very low and that it was closer to the normal price of the xs version. I also told her that the limited usually sells for over $400. She said "what does the add say it is". I told her it was listed as the DA limited lens. She said "then that is what it is". I said "are you sure it's not the xs model that usually sells for around this price?" She said that the add was correct. Kind of "snippy" about it when I questioned her. Sorry if my earlier post pushed some of you into ordering. I was just going by what I was told. I was going to order one myself. Like I said earlier, glad I hadn't done it yet.

That really sucks. The sales rep I talked to acted somewhat offended that I suspected it was actually a different lens than what they had listed. I specifically asked her if it was the DA limited or the XS. Glad I procrastinated on ordering one!

I just called the company and the sales rep verified that it was in fact the DA 40 limited, not the xs. Very tempting deal!
