I haven't decided if I'm in or not. It seems to be getting harder for me to find things that I haven't already shot. If I do this it will be with my latest acquisition the manual Tou/FIve Star 28mm f2.8.

I like the control. Plus when using an AF lens and some of the scene modes it feels too much like using a point and shoot.

I tip my hat to you for even trying this. That was my plan for last month with the Sigma 70-300mm, but I found that most of my handheld 300mm shots just weren't up to par.

Ok, after playing around after work last night I decided that this month will be the SMC-M 50mm f2 that came with my dad's K1000 back in the 70's. I think this one will be a fun one to play with since it was the lens I learned on when I was a kid and lucky enough to use dad's camera.

Well after a month with the 70-300mm Sigma I'm glad I only dropped $15 on it. It's a good lens but I'm just not feeling it. I got a bit burnt out at the end of the month and just had to step away from the camera for a few days. I think this one will be used only for special conditions where I really need a long lens.

I've got to learn to stay away from eBay. I'm now waiting for a Takumar-A 2x Tele-Converter to show up that I put a stupid low bid on not expecting to win. I'm hoping it will play nicely with my Tak 135mm f2.8 and manual SMC 50mm f2.

I love old speakers like that. I'm running a pair of Fisher Studio Standard 15" three ways in the front and a pair of Technics 12" three ways in the back off of a Yamaha surround reciever. I've only had the neighbors complain once .

I'm in but don't know witch lens yet. It's either the ole M series 50mm f2 or the manual Tou/Five Star 28mm f2.8 I picked up last weekend.

Well I have missed out the last couple of days thanks to life getting in the way and trying to get a spot off my sensor. I finally got a chance to get the sensor cleaned since the blower just wasn't cutting it and ended up coming home from that trip to the shop with a new to me lens. I picked up a Tou/Five Star 28mm f2.8. Now I'm in a quandary, I was going to try my SMC M 50mm f2 next month but really want to also try out this new 28mm.

I was in a local shop over the weekend having my sensor cleaned as I somehow got something on it that I couldn't get off with the rocket blower and while there I picked up a Tou/Five Star 28mm f2.8. He also had the same lens in a SMC M series but he wanted $60 for that one and only $15 for the Tou/Five Star. So it ended up coming home with me. I know the SMC is probably a better lens but it just wasn't in the budget.

I would say I'm somewhere between level 2 and 3. I have only had my DSLR since May and since I started doing the Single Challenge here I find that I tend to tote it around where ever I go. As I drive around at work I'm constantly now evaluating the view out the windows of the car for things to shoot. More than once I've either stopped and shot, turned around and shot or if I don't have time came back to shoot something. On the weekends when I don't have anything going on I look online for nearby places and things that may be interesting to shoot. The very first weekend I had my K200D I took it to a local county historical society museum just because I thought they might have cool things to photograph. I didn't even know how to use most of the settings at that time. Now that I do and have a couple of faster primes I need to go back there.

Well a few days into this and I've already learned a few things. First off I decided to try shooting only raw this month. Right now I'm using Faststone to develop them. It's working ok for me. I do however need to find a good Android app for processing and conversion to JPEG for when I'm traveling or at work. The other thing is the colors from this lens are pretty spot on. I mostly use the auto color adjust in Faststone as I don't really know what I'm doing totally yet and have found that it hasn't made very much correction to the original photo, not near as much as it did on the Tak last month. I've also relized that at 300mm you can really see how unsteady your hands are.
It's going to be interesting seeing how the rest of this month goes.

I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now and It's really a great everyday bag for me. I'm probably carrying around a lot more than I need with it. I just wish the little pockets on the end were a little bit bigger. My work phone (Samsung Rugby flip phone) is a really tight squeeze.

The more I think about it I don't know that I need an insert. I've got some neoprene lens pouches and the Case Logic Day Holster for the camera. Hmmm....Might have to empty out the shooting gear and see how it works with the camera.

I didn't even know about that group. I'll have to go back and add mine and remember to add them in the future.

I've thought about that. I've got a little Eddie Bauer diaper bag that I use for all sorts of things. All I need is an insert to use it for a camera bag.
