At least you can use (almost) any gps tracking app on your phone and afterwards attach the GPS tag in post automatically based on timestamps. I used to do this before K-1 with "gps stone" on my phone and lightroom or aperture on my mac.

I think I got a mix of 27mm and 49mm as I felt those were the ones most likely to go missing.

That's how it works. The focus on the lens needs to be in the right region cause the af movement on the Converter is quite short.
So if you want to focus on something close by the lens cannot be focused to infinity and vise versa.
And for the focal lenght use 1.7x Lens focal lenght.
