Yes, they are really very meek.....while quiet.
This big Silver Back remained quite and thoughtful some meters away while two young male playing with us.
On the other side was very impressive the outburst of another big male gorilla that beated his chest running away and opened a tunnel in the forest of thorny plants: really very scary!!!
Very engaging experience.

DA50mm is the perfect lens for portrait!!
If I had had it in my past trips, above all in Uganda for the Gorillas, the nearest portraits could have been fantastic!!
Unfortunately they resulted quite all shaked because the dark of the forest :(..... I had some good shoot with Silver Back that was little more far but motionless :D
Maybe in the next trip I'll get the chance to do better! And also in every day shoot, daylight results with hard bokeh; it will allow me to not use flash also for moving subjects.....

Perhaps it would be better to have 32 votes available .... there is the risk of not having 32 rated photos.
Besides, with the possibility to voting for your own photo (I have not done because i thought it was not allowed: obviously everyone likes their own photos!) the assigned votes will be only 3!!

Summer has come and also the district's feasts!!:)
In a little street in Torino, on a little pool kids inside plastic balloons create coloured silhouettes and flash light in a late afternoon.
People shout and laugh noisily, protecting with the hands their eyes from the low sun. Dogs bark at kids running everywhere. The intense colours of the market contrast the black shadows of the buildings while the fresh air coming from mountains spreads the smell of candyfloss….. happiness is in the air!:lol:
But....In all of this happy bustle something clashes :eek: : in the deafening noise of the compressor's engine, a little girl cries desperately, kneeling, lonely, in her silent, suffocating, plastic world……..:(

Hi, I had exactly the same problem with Smasung SDHC UHS-1..... But I fixed it!!!
You have to try to upload the firmware to version 1.0.3, despite Ricoh does not indicate this problem in the version changes......
This is the link to download the firmware:

Hi, I had exactly the same problem: SDHC UHS-1 does not work on K-3..... But I fixed it!!!
You have to upload the firmware to version 1.0.3, despite Ricoh does not indicate this problem in the version changes.

Hi, I'm going to pass some night to take pictures of Torino.....At the moment I'm listing the objectives......I'll be happy to show you the final result!
Not very many people knew Torino, but after the Winter Olympic Games it became the 3th most visited city in Italy!!!
There are some pictures on my personal site but not realy landscapes, maybe more particular views.

Hi,
I'm 49 years old, Italian and I'm actually living in Torino.
I'm using a Pentax k-5 and in the last years I collected many A, M and K manual focus lenses.
I like traveling and I think that take some good pictures is the best souvenir. I'm also a scuba diver: I'm actually using a compact camera in the water but one day I'd like to buy a waterproof case for the Pentax......
Recently I been in Uganda and I also could take some pictures of the mountain gorillas: it was a incredible experience and i'm very proud of these photos taken in very difficult condition.
