Hi There! Just trying to catch up... I am working on a similar problem. I have a K3, I just updated to 1.3 Firmware. I am set 0 - +. I always use Manual mode. The E-Dial programming I adjusted was the first option on the second tab labeled M. I think it is the only e-dial setting for manual mode? Correct? I set the green button for Tv shift. Using this setting, only my shutter changes, my aperture & ISO are fixed. I am a little unsure what it is that I am supposed to do with the green button? I tried bracketing with the green button pressed and without, my results were exactly the same, exposure by exposure. Pressing the green button had no effect.
What I want to try is bracketing that will adjust both my ISO & shutter while leaving my aperture fixed. Is this even possible? I have One-Push Bracketing turned on because I am often in rapidly changing light conditions, ie Sunrise/Sunset, and my camera is much faster than I am. :D

Can we go a little deeper with this topic? I shoot raw and want to do exposure bracketing so I can do exposure blending in PS. I did not like my aperture changing either because it affects the DOF in my expousre. I do see that I can set my camera to AV and the aperture and ISO are locked during bracketing. The only change is shutter speed. While I want my aperture locked, I am open to having the camera adjust both my shutter & ISO. When I go the E-Dial Programming, I have quite a few choices. I can find no explanation about what each choice does. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Hello Everyone -
I just updated my K3 with the 1.21 firmware update and now I can import any images into Lightroom. I can see the folders on my SD cards, but I can't see any images on the cards. I can see the images in my camera and in the Mac Finder, so I know they are there. I can open images in Photoshop. My catalog in Lightroom is how I organize my images and I don't want to lose that organization. Pentax support said there is no way to remove a firmware update once you install it. Has anyone had the problem I am having or even better yet, a solution?

This image is a composite. I used 2 lenses. The background was shot with a smc Pentax-FA 20mm ƒ2.8. Settings were ISO 400; ƒ3.5; 10 Seconds. The background is 4 images stitched in Photoshop.
The Moon's were shot with a smc Pentax-FA 200mm Macro ƒ4. As the Moon transitioned between phases, my settings changed. For the Full Moon, I used ISO 200; ƒ7.1; 1/125th of a second. For the Moon in Total Eclipse phase, the settings were ISO 12800; ƒ4; 1/40th of a second. I bracketed like crazy!
To plan for this shot, I determined the path as well as the beginning and the ending times of the Eclipse. I scouted for several days to find a landscape that would be pleasing that naturally lined up with the Moon's path across the sky. During the eclipse, I set a timer and photographed the Moon at 30 minute intervals from the beginning to the end.
My process in Photoshop was to stack the layers and apply the Moon's using the lighten blend mode.
There is another eclipse coming up in April 2015. If it is visible for you, I highly recommend getting out there and photographing it. It is a wonderful experience whether you capture a photo or not!
