yes, sorry that was old m42! thank you all for input. i wonder.. could such adapter be created without any optics, it would only crop the image circle ( as you say k mount is wider/bigger then m42..)

Hello Pentaxians. I have a strange question, and not sure where to post it, hope that's a correct thread.
So there are adapters to mound old lenses to pentax cameras (k mount to m43 ? is that a name?)
But my question is - is there an adapter to mount pentax (k mount) lens to an old camera that has m43 screw mount?
Thank you.

Again, thank you all for your thoughts and comments. Just to illustrate how big are the distortions when stitching an image i add a picture. at left you ll see original image and on right warped image. also far right image from this cracked lens and in a middle 100 proc crop. i still can live with a scratch - but i need to take much more shots in order to cover the scratch. I have never heard of an option to fill a scratch with ink / black paint, ill have to investigate more sins its quite a scary proposal :))
so i gather sigma 10- 16 is regarded as good by some, and samyang 10mm, also pentax da 10-17. Having a 21, 24 mm lens would probably be too much for me regarding more time shooting / stiching that would require.
and here are some examples of stiched panoramas using my broken samyang 8mm - https://goo.gl/uxhEtc https://goo.gl/uGOhVI https://goo.gl/UpFkeF https://goo.gl/vykwk0 |

Thank you all for your responses and thoughts.
Regarding sharpness.. i know that ultra wide angles are not as sharp as others, and that race for sharpness is a bit over valued these days. Yet i want as much as i can get. When i stitch my images to get final panorama lots of warping and stretching takes place so i further loose details. therefore i what to start with something that is as sharp as i can have. regarding rectilinear vs fish eye, i sopose rectilinear is better for me, but its not a big difference.
And the scratch is very big and visible in images. only if its pointed to a sky or snow its invisible. but its visible in 9 out of 10 images. its like 1 cm big :(

i have k3 and samyang 8mm, i have screeched front glass of the lens and iam considering an alternative to samyang. The lens is used for 360*180 spherical panorama shooting. Although iam not working with panoramas professionally and would prefer cheaper solutions, i would like to evaluate all options. so the questions are:
1. a cheep but sharper lens compared to samyang 8mm 3.5,
2. and whats sharpest out there (regardless of price) for pentax k mount.
3. is there a point in looking to non k mount lenses with some adapters? thank you.
p.s. some lenses have a reviews on dxo mark with perceptual mp measurements but not all of them. that makes it hard to compare. any advice on search strategy?
