Since I worked in a photo store and recieved 1000s of cameras that had made a touchdown on the ground. So my strap is on but almost never around the neck just around the wrist hanging loose. When using my 150-500 the strap on the lens is around my wrist or on my shoulder for carrying.

Hi everyone,
I've just discovered this forum, eventhough I've been using Pentax since 1997.
Don't worry about the 70-300 mm. It's up for retirement. Just need the money for something new.
And those of you who consider buying it. Don't do it if you're using digital. The focus engine is not strong enough. Autofocusing takes forever.
