Agreed.
It doesn't make sense to announce a K-3 and a 645Z only a few months prior to Photokina without having a yet greater product to be announced.
So either Ricoh is really stupid or they have an(some) absolutely terrific product(s) in the pipeline. I second the latter. We'll know soon enough whether it will be the FF or something else.

FYI, there are still some original Q kits with the 01 Prime (only black) or the 01 Prime + 02 Zoom (black & white) available from the German Ricoh web store: PENTAX Q
I don't think that we will se a new Q body at Photokina. IIRC I have read in another thread that a Ricoh rep. said the next Q body will be released in 2015. That's still 7 months away (in the best case).

What about asking questions to the specific groups of shooters? i.e. macro shooters:
A picture of a macro shoot made with the Q on which is written:
Want shoot macro? Q can do.
Pentax Q [picture of the Q] The Queen of MILC's
Upload this to instagram, twitter, etc. and make the Qusers share it with their followers.
One could do that with all kind of shooting styles (birding, tele, ...)

cgs727, is this your entry for the 2nd round of the K-3 contest? If yes, I fear that it may not be valid as it has been taken in 2010. As per the contest rules the picture for round 2 needs to be taken between June 4th - July 5th, 2014.

In the German speaking subforum someone postet this information about the 645Z on May 31 (English translation below):
English translation:
The poster attended an event called Minikina in Germany and was able to speak to an employee who said that he was responsible for the training of the future 645Z dealers. The employee made the following statements:
- The whole production of 645Z cameras until the end of the year has already been sold out worldwide. There seems to be a real 645Z boom, especially in the austro-pacific region and in the USA, so that the customers buy the cameras without trying them out (!!??)
- This year, Ricoh Germany will receive only as many 645Z cameras that there will remain only approx. 2 copies per Pentax premium dealer.
- The employee himself expects that the demo cameras for the Ricoh team will only be available as from Photokina on. Therefore, for house exhibitions, there won't be any demo camera until after September.

The web store availability in Europe is really a shame. Have you found a way to get the kit? The only other way I can think of is if you know someone who lives in one of the countries with a web store and is willing to buy it for you and ship it to Denmark.

Apparently the 645Z will make it's first public appearance in London this coming Wednesday, May 28th, at Calumet Photographic London (93-103 Drummond Street, London, NW1 2HJ) between 10-4pm!
People can try out the camera out and there will be Pentax experts to ask any question.

I just removed the battery several times and re-inserted it after only a few seconds and the date/time hasn't gone lost (yay!). So I guess in my case it's really the backup battery running dry. I'll buy a spare battery so the camera won't be let without a battery anymore.

This happens to me every single time I re-insert the battery after recharching it...It doesn't happen after a certain time of neglect though...And no, I haven't resolved this problem yet :(. Actually, back in April, I got so angry at this problem (missed a really nice opportunity for a photo because of it), that I startet to search the internet about it and instead of a solution found Pentax Forums...

Maybe you need to enable this option first in the menu? I need to do this when I want the 2x or 4x help for manual focusing with my original Q & 01 lens.

That's interesting. Will they develop the Q into a two-model system - e.g. high- and low-end?
The macro lens is for sure coming! It's on the lens roadmap to be released this year (or later) and they showed a prototype of it at CP+ 2014.
