My (next) travel kit will comprise 4 lenses. In addition to FA 31, 43 and 77, I will also bring the FA20-35/4, small and light. And a set of 58mm filters. Eventually I might leave the 31 at home, but I likely won't.

I have been lately experimenting with new-to-me combo's of bodies/lenses/films in order to find a setup that suits me well for my travels and "street photos". I believe I have finally found what I was looking for! My travel/street gear by Marco Evangelisti Crespo, en Flickr
For the time being (but it might change in a future), in my travel bag there are SuperProgram + SMC K 28mm F3.5 or SMC K 35 F3.5 + SMC K 55mm F1.8 + a bunch of Adox CHM 400 rolls (to be pushed to 800). And I am very happy :)
During the last three weaks or so, I have visited:

Thanks! :) ---------- Post added 12-01-15 at 08:06 PM ----------
Thanks!
Here's my set-up:
K-3 + Tamron 90 af on a tripod. I have opened a window of the frame size on a shoe box. Some paper cut and folded as such to allow sliding the film throught it. And I simply use my mobile phone for the film back light! Screen left on for 30 minutes (which is way plenty of time for "scanning" the whole film), and I use an app named "Whitescreen" - you guess what it does!?
Everything very fast, takes me 5 mins to set it up, and 15-20 for the whole process.
Raw files, F8, time whatever needed, manual focus, iso 100, no auto anything
And finally imported to Lightroom and automatically edited, inverted tonalities, and some touches here and there, and that is all.
Fast and cheap (if you already have a dslr).
Cheers

Hi, Sorry for the offtopic but... I'd like to know more about the issues you mention by using specifically the FA20-35 with a digital FF. I like this lens pretty much, though my "FF" is nothing but the goodold film. I do have however a friend who shots with a Sony a7. He sold almost all his Pentax lenses but he kept the 20-35 (and a few others) since he likes it a lot, indeed. Perhaps, he hasnt done any "serious" test or comparison...

Find below a picture of my set-up.
You can see it is very simple! I am using my K-3 + Tamron 90/2.8 AF. I cutted a hole (this case 24x36) in a thick paper (from a shoe box), where I glued a thin folded paper which serves as a guide for the film. I painted in black the edges of the paper. Then, as you see, I use a tripod, and I made a sort of long lens-hood, black again, which goes all the way down to the film. Best is the uniform bright back-light for which I use nothing but my mobile phone! Maximum brightness, screen always on, and I believe the name of the app is "WhiteScreen", downloadable from the Google Play Store.
It all works great, very fast, no prob whatsoever. Two examples, below.

I didnt know that. How can we know for sure that it switches it off when panning? I am not aware that it is written anywhere in the user manual.
Here's a nice example I took with the SR set to "on". Shutter speed was 1/30s. Book yourself fabulous by ۞ Marco ۞, on Flickr
Cheers
EDIT: Never mind. It is very easy to check. I have just mimicked panning movements with SR on and, every time, I see the green-hand that switches off in the VF. I took more than 15,000 photos with my K-3 and never paid attention to it. Doh!!!

Then I should envy you [emoji1] because to me this is just unfeasible and unreliable, especially in digital era.
