Hey! You ate abosultely right it happens at any speed above 1/500. I'm going to try and keep it at 1/250 see how that works. Thanks for replying. I also noticed that the mirror gets stuck to the top at slower speeds as well :/

Hello I developed some photographs today and I got the images back this has happened to me before and I don't know why it happens or if its my camera its a pentax k1000 it doesn't do this all the time but every once in a while it will how can I fix it and why is it doing this? Thank you

I have a Vivitar Macro Focusing Zoom lens, and on the aperture dial after f/22 is the option "A" what exactly does this do?

Hello all, i recently bought a pentax k1000 and have used one role of film so far and has not been developed. Do you guys and gals have any tips when using this particular camera when it comes to iso, shutter speed, and aperture, as well as other things? Even any tips in general would be very helpful as I learn more and more about film, and photography. Thank you all.

Im sorry, I have just heard its.beter to develop your film from local photography businesses than a place like walmart, or walgrees because of the quality of the prints.

Theres only one local place where I live to develop my film and its quite far, only place is Walgreens? Is that a good place, or should I drive to the farther place? Ive heard its better to go local.

accidentally moving rewing knob

After taking a picture with my pentax k1000 i accidentally moved the rewing knob to a different direction but moved it back to about where it was, how does it affect the picure after and before, does it ruin the film?

Yeah it doesnt move i checked the mirror tensioning lever and its in the right position but nothing

I have a pentax k1000 and the leverto advance film works an moves b ut when advancing the lever it makes a click noise and doesnt advance the film, any ideas?

Hello all, my name is michael and im a nursing student in Florida, its summer and i wanted to get into film and phorography, im getting a Pentax K1000 in the mail tomorrow and I was wondering if any one has tips on taking.photographs with this particularly camera and any tips and tricks when it comes to aperture, shutter speed and so forth, thank you.
