Thanks everyone for your input and comments. This was just a fun experiment with the phone's camera. As for this image being "borderline acceptable". . . please... a bare breast is "borderline?" now that's a scary thought.

I love the shallow depth of field in the first two shots. The only real detraction I see is what looks to be a lighter colored horizontal strip of bark perhaps, located right below the lower branch. To my eye that is a big distraction, because it forces my eye to go right to that contrasting line wanting to know what it is. I would take the time to edit that area out with PhotoShop or another photo editing application.

I recently purchased a new Motorola Atrix which is an Android based cell phone. Many of the reviews I read prior to purchasing it raved about the quality of the on-board camera and now I have to agree. This image was taken with the phones 5MP camera then processed through Adobe Lightroom 2. The rich darkness is intentional and was achieved via Lightroom, not via the camera's original exposure. Your thoughts? . . . . yes, that is my hand ;) |

Just a thought . . . I bought "Master-Works DVD-Video: Jumpstart Guide for the Pentax K10D Digital SLR Camera" on the web . It does what it says and it moves at a very fast pace but that's why they invented the stop & rewinded buttons. ;-) I think I paid about $19 (US), but I think I saw it on Amazon recently for about $10. . . . Good luck!

Tiny Bubbles . . .
This is my first posting... I'm just getting to know my new K10D and here is one example I call “Tiny Bubbles.” If you want to see a few other “test shots” just click the picture and it will link you to my Flickr page. These were all taken a few evenings ago while in the River Market district of Little Rock, Arkansas. I like the K10D very much and I’m most pleased with the quality of the images produced with the standard 18-55mm “kit lens.” :)
