It has to be the Rokinon 135mm f2; awesomly sharp, great bokeh and fun to use on nearly-macro distances !

What is the lens that lives on your camera?

On K-5iis lives the Rokinon 135mm f2
On silver KP, most of the time, the silver DA 20-40mm Limited, together with the vertical grip.

First taken with KP/15mm f4 Limited then realised it needed a longer focal lenght so i jump on already mated K-5iis/DFA 100mm f2.8 Macro WR. Glad i did.

The 77mm f1.8 Limited is practically glued to my K-5iis for portraits.

But if you find 70mm too narrow, you may better look at the 43mm f1.9 Limited which seems to have that pixie dust, 3D effect.

Further more, it's also a FF-ready lens, coming from film-era.

What do I really lose choosing K-70 vs KP

As an avid portrait shooter, i almost only consider APS-C bodies with the available vertical grip. Not only the KP has this possibility, but you can put a D-LI90 (same long-lasting battery as my K-5iis) or a bunch of AA batteries.

My K-5iis with DA*16-50 and AF540FGZ dropped from waist height on asphalt while on a shooting. DA*16-50 give up, flash foot broken and K-5iis with vertical grip just fine. Reach out my Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 and continue shooting with handheld flash in wireless mode. Pentax rules !

Hi and welcome to the Pentax Forums. I'm considering a Silver KP as an upgrade from my beloved K-5iis. How's the image quality ?

Welcome to the forums. The K-70 is an awesome tool for starters. And considering photography as art may be the best way to think about it. What have you picked up as a first lens ?

Welcome to the forums. Stay away as much as possible from a low-budget 2X, and put the money on a steady tripod. Have fun !

Welcome to the forums. The two pictures are overPhotoshopped/HDR, both looks unnatural. Nice try though.

Hi there from Canada,
if you liked the AF speed of the 18-135mm but want more reach, the 55-300mm PLM is the one to get.

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned, and i tried and get gets great results with both DA*16-50mm and DA*50-135mm, consider a screw-drive conversion. If you'd like to try another wide zoom lens, the 16-85mm has to be tried. I love mine.

Hi Tom and welcome to the forums. I don't own the IRIX lens but when i need wide, i just take my Rokinon 10mm f2.8, which is an APS-C manual focus lens. Often on f3.5 and f4. Great results.

Welcome to the forum from Canada. Hope you'll find the flash help needed. A Cactus v6 ii flash trigger opens up a lot of possibilities also.

Hi there, i'm not into vintage lenses (apart from SMC K 135mm f2.5) but i'm just in love the bokeh of the 77mm f1.8 Limited. Consider it if you are, like me, into portrait.
