I have been here a week or so and thought I had better introduce myself. I don't post much but I do read most of the forums. I have owned a Pentax DSLR (ist DS) since 2005 or so. I have always went with Pentax ever since. I have a K10D and a K-5 as well. But unfortunately the view screen holder ( I think that's about as technical as I can call it fell out of my K-5) , so I am in the process of sending it in for repair. I may go ahead and pull the trigger on the K-3 and battery grip while my K-5 is getting repaired. Well enough about all of that here is more about me.
I am 44 years old a disabled veteran (U.S.M.C) I have been into digital photography since 2003 or so. I have had a photography business at one time but that was very early on. Now I do occasional stuff but mostly just for friends and family. I don't have o one type set of photography ie landscape, portraits, studio etc. I try and do all of it and having a more successful outcome with some more than others. I have all the free time in the world to do my photography besides being with my 4yr old. I have studio lights and mono flashes and backdrops and all of that just not the cream of the crop in stuff mostly bargain bin stuff I made to work.
I was born and raised in New Mexico but have lived around the world. It is a nice place for landscapes and sunsets and wildlife photography. I haven't done much of either in a little while its been cold here and windy. I will make this a short post but hopefully I can make some new friends here from around the world. Thanks for reading and I hope to read more about other people.

This image is stitched and made up of 6 images shot in portrait orientation. It was January 2010 with a massive snow storm covering and closing most road at the Grand Canyon. This was on the hike back up from 2 days at the bottom at Phantom Ranch. Not sure if I fill in the exif data because of it being stitched. Here is the exif data:
