Count the egg shells and then the yolks...
I have only heard about this but never seen it with my own eyes. I got quite
surprised when I got two yolks in the first egg but even more when I got it in the
third egg too. And on top of that my girlfriend got a twin yolk egg for lunch today.
All eggs are from the same box.

Oh my, what´s the fun when the first guess (of very few) is correct :p It´s frozen foam in the stream that goes just beneath my office (I sit on the second floor in the closest yellow building).

Here´s the full image:

Unfortunately I forgot to adjust my tilt-shift lens so it´s unsharp especially on the left side :(

Oh, you have some nice images too :) I really like the palm tree. I wanted a Hartblei as well but couldn´t afford one. The design of the Photex lens isn´t suitable for cameras with built-in flash like k10d as you can´t rotate the lens freely. It´s impossible to tilt upwards and rotate when you take photos in landscape format.

I wish I could try more miniatures but I have hard to find places where I can get high enough like bridges and towers.

The summer passed in no time and autumn is here. Before everything gets brown and grey I have been able to take these. There are more on my site.

I bought one of these (labeled Photex) just before summer. You can see some of my images at Tilt & Shift Image Gallery . I was a bit unlucky with my lens though as the mount got lose from the lens. I had to disassemble it to reach the screws.

Nice images. I wish I could take pictures like these myself
but I´m too shy :p The welders are my favourite but I like
them all. Too bad the girl with long hair is out of focus

Strange. I´m pretty sure I saw this image at "Recently added" a week(or two) ago but my memory constantly fails. BTW, it´s one of the few I have voted for among all thousands pictures of dragonflies, butterflies, birds and flowers I have browsed through at PPG :)

I can be wrong but I think I found some in the links you have posted here. But as MRRiley says, following the rules should be the safest.

I think they support more aspect ratios than 3:2. I have seen everything from quadratic to panoramic pictures.

Now I have an account there too and submitted one image. I tried to be honest with myself so when I browsed through all my images it stroke me how few there are that I would actually send to PPG. Well, let´s see how it goes

I like this image as it has a retro mood. I get the feeling that the man has finished his work and strolls slowly to his home. His wife has the dinner ready and he will read the paper afterwards having a cup of coffee. I bet he smokes a pipe too :p

Thank you :) You can of course use the lens for other things than faking
miniatures. One feature would be to extend the DOF but I haven´t found a
subject yet like a meadow full of flowers. You can in a creative way choose where
to apply the focus plane in a more subtle way like below. The arm on the statue
sticks out towards the camera and could not be focused, so I tilted and rotated
the lens to achieve this:

Otherwise you can use it like a lensbaby and decide what should be in focus or
not but you will get a stripe instead of the spot:

Help Choose which bride portrait!!

I think you have used a layer filled with black and then made it transparent in the middle - much like a strong vignetting. I suggest that you remove it so you see the cute bride more clearly :)

I like the effect you get from that lens :) Seems like it warps the edges so it looks like a zoom blur. In some cases it adds movement or exaggerate motions to the image like in shot#1 and shot#5. I´m sure you will learn how to position the focus spot by time :)

Vandals in love

It´s neither. I use a lens with tilt capability that can shorten (or the opposite) the
DOF. That makes the human brain think that it is a minature while it´s not.

JCSullivan: I don´t know what to think myself. I find grafiti very disturbing if it´s
on my own house but if it´s good quality and on a parking house... Well, I´m not
sure. Grafiti is often a good subject to photograph though.

The graffitti is in swedish and says "love". I find it kind of cute.
I wonder if the artist looked all over the town for a pink house :p

Two new tilt effect images

I haven´t tried that yet but I will as soon as I get some time. Right now I just
take some shots on my way to and from my work but I will have my vacation soon.

I´m no scientist, my english sucks and I haven´t learned how to fully use this
lens yet. These links will explain the secrets though:

Tilt
Shift

I can tell you that I don´t use tilt and shift simultanesly as this lens only allows it
under certain circumstances. The tilt mechanism is always rotated 90 degrees to
the shift (I think that tilt and shift can rotate freely on lenses from Hartblei). You
can rotate the whole lens 360 degrees though. The effect you see in my pics is
the result of adjusting the tilt.

I have been thinking about putting some samples together of both functions of
this lens. There are some sites that has done this already but I have forgotten
where they are. I will do it as soon as my vacation begins :) Hopefully I will get
some time left for holography too...
