I had 2 Q lenses that died without any reason. a 06 and a 08. The autofocus was dead for both lenses. Replaced by new lenses under warranty by Pentax

Probably we all agree with same size / form factor (but not as Q-S1), same control layout, better res screen, better battery life, better sensor.
I think that nobody would say no to an EVF if nothing else is changed (size, flash, layout)
But personnaly what I would like is more prime lens!
- 18,5 mm f1.4
- 3 mm f1.8
- retractable 5-15mm f2.8 constant

well you're just saying that a huge and heavy DSLR has a better IQ than a Q... Humm i'm sure everybody here knows that.
And you know what, an even bigger MF camera cropped will have a better IQ than a DSLR or a Q.

A few weeks before the launch of the Q-S1, the Q7 with custom colors was no more available on Pentax shop. Maybe it's a sign

I can see noise on the brick wall on your picture, I don't know what kind of image the Q-S1 would have, but I don't think that at 100 iso you have noise. You speak theory of optics, I speak reality of electronic sensors that produce noise on high ISO. You will always have more noise at 2000 iso than at 100 iso, just because you rise the gain of the analog stage of your sensor. That's why having a wide aperture is always better, regardless of the DOF, you can lower your iso with constant shutter speed, and so you can lower the noise produced by the sensor

All you say is right, but shooting at 100 iso is absolutely not the same thing than shooting at 2000 iso. The noise produced by the sensor is not the same. At 2000 iso the gain of the sensor is high, at 100 iso it is nominal, so the sensor will produce noise at 2000, not at 100 iso. In the film days, nobody would have say that shooting at 100 iso was equivalent to shooting at 2000 iso

I have never seen this option on my Q7.
You can download the Q7 user manual on pentax website to be sure.

In my Q7 premium kit there is a 01 lens and a 02 lens, both of them have a black metal finish, very nice to touch. The 06 and the 08 in the kit are all plastic, but 06 looks very cheap compared to 08.
I've just contacted Pentax, and they confirm that there is a problem with my lens, so I have to send it to the repair center.
I realy do love the Q system, but I have a bad impression about quality

If by very fragile you mean you can't mount your lens on your camera, then the Q system is crap. The only thing I did with my 06 lens is having it in a bag in a shelf for 2 month then puting it on my Q7 and trying to focus. The last time it worked perfectly. I have EXACTLY the same problem with the 06 that I had with my 08. I put the lens on the camera, and I can hear a sound (I suppose that it comes from the focus motor) for 2 seconds, then nothing, the lens doesn't focus. For the 08 lens, I send it to repair, and Ricoh/Pentax send me another lens saying that they were unable to repair the one I send to them.
06 and 08 have a plastic body, and don't feel really solid, as opposed to 02 and 01 which have metal body. For the time being after 5 months and 4k pictures taken, the 2 lenses I use the less have failed, I'm very disappointed. In 7 months the warranty will be gone, what will I do if I have the same problem with other lens. Last time for 08 I said that Pentax may have a problem, now I'm pretty sure they have a problem with Q build quality

Hi, I'm the owner of a Q7 premium kit and a few month ago I got a problem with my 08 lens (the thread is here) and now I have exactly the same problem with the 06 lens, the lens won't focus. I've tried everything, now I'm an experienced guy with Q lenses focusing problem. The strange thing is that the 06 is a lens I almost never use. I mostly use 02 and 01, and I got troubles with 08 and 06.
Pentax Q system seems very crap, but I hope that the service will be perfect like with my problem with 08.

Your picture of the Sacré Cœur is amazing. The color of the sky is astonishing.
Your pictures of Montmartre are nice, but there is almost nobody...

I would prefer and updated 02 with same range but improved quality and constant f2.8
And collapsible design like the 06 would be a big improvement in portability

new 03 fisheye with autofocus.
new 02 lens with f2.8 constant and collapsible
a fast wide, something like a 4.5mm f1.4
a portrait lens 18.5mm f1.2
a 45-90mm f4 zoom collapsible
All in full metal. I hate the plastic of the 06
I'm not in the toy lens mood, but I know that for japanese market it's important
