I think this may be the answer. It looks like the back is some sort of coated aluminum.

It's possible, I guess, but it's a fully manual lens with no contacts so it should work, right?

I had watched the video and I have back button focus set to AF1 which enables shutter button auto focus. I'm using the viewfinder, not live view. I get the little red box and the chime when the image is in focus but for whatever reason the shutter fires whenever I fully depress the shutter button, not just when the image is in focus.

I got a Lensbaby Composer Pro 2 Sweet 35 manual lens and I just cannot get CiF to work on my KP. I followed the tutorial, I think:

Catch in Focus is on (set to 2)
AF set to AFS and Focus-Priority
The switch on the body is set to AF.

The shutter fires anytime the button is fully depressed regardless of whether it's in focus or not.

Any ideas?

Thank's everyone. I'm going to go for the newer non-stabilized lens.

Sigma 17-50mm question

After some deliberation, I've decided to get the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 to use with my KP. I saw that there are two version of the lens for Pentax - one with stabilization and one without. I know that the in-lens stabilization won't work with the in body stabilization but I'm wondering how the stabilized lens will interact with Pixel Shift? Would using the stabilized lens lens let me use Pixel Shift handheld? Does that even make sense or am I misunderstanding how it all works?

I just got a new SMC DA 50mm from amazon and the auto-focus does not seem to work with my KP. It makes spinning noises but the focus ring does not spin and it does not auto focus at all. I tried the lens with my old K-50 and it seems to auto-focus OK. I also have a DA 18-135 and a DA 55-300 PLM and those both auto-focus just fine on the KP. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
