I shot this photo on playa Cas Abao on Curaçao. The parakeet was eating the flowers and fruits from this tree. In his beak he is holding a flower too. I like the colors of the bird in combination with the background in this photo. I hope you will enjoy it too.
I used my K-x with the DA 55 - 300mm ED lens, the focal lenght was 300mm, schutterspeed 1/1000s and apertrure F5.8. I shot the photo in raw format and only used the Pentax software to adjust the colors, brightness, etc.

Hello,
A few years ago I bought my K-x and chose a Pentax because I inherited a few lenses from my grandpa. These M lenses make great pictures btw. I really enjoy photography as a hobby. In the meantime I bought a few more lenses and the reviews on this forum were very useful.
