Hello fellow Pentaxians,
I've acquired some new lenses recently and some of the ones I'd bought earlier are now redundant, so I'd like to find them a new home. All lenses are in excellent optical and physical condition. I can provide more/better pictures if anyone has anything specific they'd like to see. Prices are negotiable, make me an offer! Paypal is the preferred payment method.
1) SMC Pentax-DA L 1:3.5-5.6 18-55mm AL WR - This lens came with my K-50 kit last summer. This lens in in practically new condition and has no flaws either physically or optically. Comes with the original front and rear caps as well as a replica Pentax lens hood. Asking $75.
2) SMC Pentax-DA L 1:4-5.6 50-200mm ED WR - This lens also came with my K-50 kit last summer. It's in the same condition as the 18-55mm above, no visible flaws at all and performs great. Comes with the original front and rear caps as well as a replica Pentax lens hood. Asking $80.
Will let both go for $160. Buyer pays actual shipping charges via Priority Mail. I will combine shipping if more than one item is purchased. Thanks for looking!

Thank you for the links. Would something like this work as well? What are the pros/cons of a rubber vs. a metal hood? Amazon.com : Neewer |

Can anybody paste a link to a lens hood they've found to work well with this lens? Having some trouble finding one that would definitely fit and work well.
Thanks!

I bought my first DSLR, a K-50 with the 18-55 WR and 50-200 WR lenses, earlier this year. I've always thought about getting into photography and finally bit the bullet. Using an SLR has been a revelation, with such easy ways to set all the camera settings for each picture (although, for now, I still use the Program mode a lot, as I'm just beginning to learn!). I would really like a fast portrait lens as I would like to start doing more indoor photography at birthdays and other events, and I also feel that having a fixed field of view will really help me improve my framing and composition. Thank you for this contest!

Thanks for all the replies, I'll keep an eye out and try to snag one of these if I see one for a good price. I also agree that the equipment behind the viewfinder needs upgrades also, and I'm working on that as well :). Does anyone know if the lens hood for the DA L 50-200 WR (PH-RBD) would work for this lens? The filter size is the same at 49mm.

Hi everyone,
I'm just getting into photography (got a K-50 with the DA L 18-55 WR and DA L 50-200 WR lenses kit a couple months ago), and I was wondering, is the Pentax-F 35-70mm lens a significant upgrade from the 18-55 kit lens? I understand the difference in the focal ranges, I'm talking more about sharpness and overall image quality. Seems like an inexpensive way to try a nicer lens (if it is, in fact, a nicer lens).
Thanks!

I haven't ordered one yet, trying to see if anyone will reply with a definite answer - if I don't hear anything soon I'll order the K-5/K-7 GGS one and report back.

Thanks, I've read about those too - they look good, but I like the GGS because it's glass (and should be harder to scratch) and a good bit cheaper. I just need to figure out what size to order. Looks like it's either the generic 3" one or the one for the K-7/K-5, just need to know which to get.

Hi everyone,
I saw a few posts regarding screen protectors for the K-50, and it seems like the GGS protectors are both affordable and high-quality. I'd like to order one for my recently ordered camera, but I just wanted to confirm exactly what size I need to get - it seems like there's a ton of different listings on eBay (and Amazon) that may be correct. Could anyone confirm what it should be called, or even better, link me to a listing that is confirmed to fit perfectly?
Also, is the border of the protector white/gray or black? Black would probably look a lot better on my army green body...
Thanks!
