I meet more and more Pentax users everyday. Met a guy with k100D using a tamron 18-250. The camera is really nice and I see why they are so hard to find used. The lens was quick to focus as well with no hunting.

I found photoshop a bit to complicated when working with a lot of photos. Lightroom is a really good option for processing batches of RAW files I have also been using Corel AFterShot and I find that it really makes me photos look a lot better. Sometimes Adobe products ACR, Lightroom, Element, etc will not give you the image you saw in the camera. Try to convert it first using the Pentax software, Silky PIx or even RAW therapee. Since a image file is nothing more than information and coding you will find that different RAW converters will give you a different look so just play around with some and see which you like the best. I have had the best luck with color, detail, and sharpness using Silky Pix, Pentax LAB and after shot. I usually convert to TIFF then import to lightroom to adjust and add effects.

I work at disney world and all last week people with fogged up Nikons so its not just your pentax. Most of them had fogged up lenses. I would suggest getting some damprid to suck up the moisture in the camera. Humidity works on a different level than rain. It can penetrate anything including joint which is why a lot of people have joint pain in high humid weather.

Yeah I made a grip for the kx. It really makes it easier to manage when you need the size. |

the k20 is a great camera for all things including street photography. There is guy in LA that does street photos with the k20 and he just recently got a d7000 but still uses the k20 a lot. Flickr: Street Vision L.A. (busy)'s Photostream
take a look if you have time. Welcome to the forums

from what many users have reported is the Pentax adapter works best and flawless and is easy to put on and take off. some of the other adapter have had some issues with how easy they can come off once they are on.

I shoot HSS all the time. Easiest way use a PTTL Sync Cord and set your flash to HSS sync. If you are planning a jumping brands go with a metz flash that allows you to use on all camera brands simply by buying the camera adapter.
But yes you can do HSS sync with Pentax using a Cord or you can do it with two Metz flashes one set as master on your camera and one set to slave. The metz flashes with fire with HSS wireless but Pentax flashes will not. You can also use a Pentax flast as the master on your camera and the Metz as a slave flash.
The only pentax with built in Wireless sync is the Pentax ist D

I too use Nikon at work and Pentax at home. My Pentax always feels so responsive and very light.

People see the negatives because that is what people want to see. They could choose to see the positives like how cool it would be to make films with this small video camera.

If this is the type of professional work that can be done with the newer PENTAX models then I can see why pentax has increased its lens prices. Still shooting is nothing compared to video. VIDEO is crazy expensive and if they can use a K-01 then really who wouldn't.
Incredible video here truly inspiring.

I shoot fashion runway with my kx and a pentax 50-200. Not the fastest lens but auto focus is never ever a problem. You might try setting it on sensitivity priority and just pick and aperture and shutter speed to shoot at and let the camera do the rest.
I had some shots that were at iso 5000 and they came out great even with all the crazy colored lighting they use in concerts and fashion shows.
You got some really nice work and I'm adding your blog to my blog list

America is very wierd about Sex. I remember how a lot Rock Bands would have Artisitc Album covers here in the states but over seas they would all have Girls in Bikinis. Even bands like Metallica who came off as being hardcore had album covers with Hot girls and big boobs.
