Hi all,
Just found out Pentax will hold a meeting on 27 Nov 2021 in Japan for their 102 yrs anniversary. You can watch it online (via zoom ?) on that day. I can read a bit Japanese (actually can use google translate), according to the them, they will talk about the new firmware of K-3 iii (new features) and the new products of Pentax (hope they will talk about K-1 mark III).

To me the berries picture at the left hand side is not in focus, I have the same issue and yesterday I did the AF adjustment to mitigate the problem, it is still not as sharp as the centre but better. You can try the AF adjustment to find the balance zone for the centre and different edges for this issue
I figured out if you want to shoot the subject where at the edge or out of centre, better to use LV, to me LV is much much better due to different AF mechanism

Just found out Ebay Australia is doing 15% off and 17% off for eBay plus member, dcexpert is on the list and the listed price of 55-300 PLM is AUD 589, it will be less than AUD 500 after discounted. I have 70-210 F4 already and the SMC F Pentax 300 F4.5 is on the way from Japan, actually I do not need the 55-300 focal length as it is repeated but so tempting for the PLM speed, anyway I am trying to suppress the desire, any Aussie Pentaxian who wants to buy this lens and it is time to pull the trigger.

Hey our Aussie Pentaxian,
just look around the Pentax Australia website and found the new HD DA *16-50mm F2.8 PLM is on their website, it is on backorder and the due date is mid of Sept, the price is AUD1980.
Who will pre order this star lens ?

before most of my lenses are back focus but now need to adjust - 1 to - 2 at least , it happened on both my K-1 and K-3iii

It is still here but i can feel the focus is off a bit. I tried FA31 and DFA 50, they both require to adjust further -1 (closer)
I will test the other lenses later

Actually you can leave a comment on their FB, I would like to have the AF focus point update, now it is hard to see the AF point in dark or indoor. Hope the future firmware can update the focus point to red colour once the AF is locked.

Hey all,
just to update i did not return the lens to B&H. I figured out the problem is the UV filter I might tighten up too hard. I took out the filter and attached to the lens gently (not loose not very tight) and now the focus to infinity is back to normal. Thanks guys

Yesterday I setup the user AF under the smart function which I think is quite handy to use when you want to change the AF settings. There are 3 different setting you can assign to the user AF, what I do is 1). AF-S spot, 2). AF-S select 3). AF-C- select (M)

Everyone including is playing with K3 iii, you need time to adapt with the new system, personally i have already get used to the old menu interface. Like an old man takes time to learn something new. My impression is the shutter sound is very quiet, clean and beautiful.

I am afraid to give too much hope to myself of getting the K-3 iii this week. If the due date is true, the warehouse guys may need to do some paperwork or checking before sending out the camera. Don't expect too much we can get the new toy this week, meanwhile I am enjoying to have my K1 everyday.

Great news, just checked with CRK the stock of K-3 iii is already located in their depot, the gentleman told me if everything is fine, they can dispatch on Tuesday morning, fingers crossed

Just found out CRK has updated the due date, now the silver is 10 May and no stock for black.
Does it mean they have received the first shipment of K3 iii ?
