Light house staircase and a bridge overpassing picnic trail through a state park. I used Photoshop to edit the pictures with some dodging and burning along with playing around with the exposure. I don't like to edit photos very much because I feel as if it 'takes away' from the "moment" but, normal colored pictures also don't do justice (if you know what I mean). Thanks for viewing!

I'm definitely late on voting, and commenting as this was a submission last month. But, I had my mouth opened the whole time looking at this picture. It is so crisp, clear, vivid, colorful, and just simply amazing. I never knew how far the focal length of those types of lenses in which you used had--now I do. Hard work definitely paid off and I think I may even use your picture as my mac background. Perfect job

Thank you, for the information! My tripod is from my Dads old Minolta camera, so, looking for a new and sleek looking one would definitely be nice. Thanks again!

I know this isn't the post to ask this in, but I couldn't find the correct thread ): please don't yell. Major issue. . . I had an annoying black smudge/dirt in my Pentax kit 18-55mm lens. took took the small lens out (from the back where the gold balls are) cleaned it, and now it doesn't zoom past 45 and when I attached it, it was very blurry and would not auto focus. So, since I'm dumb and tried this, now I need a new 18-55mm lens. I would like to have the OEM one and I found this to basically be the closest I could find....Amazon.com : Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL Lens for Pentax and Samsung Digital SLR Cameras : Camera Lenses : Camera & Photo for those photographers in here, would this be my answer? If not, please send me a link. ):

Hello every one,
Name is Anthony, and I am about 1 month new into my Pentax K-X camera. Used to take Photography back in high school-- stopped, and over time (now in college) getting back into it for the fun and adventures of it is a new learning road as I forget a lot of what I learned :P Currently taking shots with the kit OEM 18-55mm lens and the OEM 50-200mm lens. (forget what size is the larger lens) Just cruising around on the site I found so far to find everyones knowledge and information to be very helpful.

Wow, those are some really nice shots. I always wanted to try and get that close to an insect just to capture the details of there body in the ways you did, but, I feel like they will just fly away from being so close.
