I recently took water into a lens and am wondering about a place to send it to have it cleaned. I’m located in Canada and would prefer to find somewhere here to send it to for cleaning. Any suggestions?

Ok thanks. So this is a stupid question but do i leave the lens cover on when i put it in the rice? It would make sense so rice doesnt get into the lens.

Hi there. I had the unfortunate luck of submersing my camera underwater for at least 10 minutes. The camera was in a bag with the lens facing down. Water made its way into the lens somehow but does not look like it got in the body. What are my options for saving this lens? I am a little surprised it took on the water to begin with seeing as how its a WR lens. My camera was in the front of the bag on the back of the tunnel.

Hi there. I’m looking for someone to convert my DA* 50-135 to screw drive in Canada. I would take care of the shipping both ways and pay for the service. Let me know please.

A little off topic but would you be interested in converting my 50-135 to screw drive for a fee of course? I don’t feel confident enough to do it and I haven’t heard of anyone doing it in Canada yet. I’m in Swift Current, SK.

Actually on second look I like yours much better than my feeble attempt. Any chance I could have a link to the full size version?

Heck yeah! That looks pretty good. A little darker would really let those lights pop I think. So you were able to get the full sized RAW file from the drop box link?

Ps. You are right about the foreground objects but I couldn’t get them out of the shot because of where I had the camera sitting on my ATV box. When I edited it myself I cut that part out too but it didn’t turn out as nice as your version.

One of the guys who was there really wants to make a big print of it for his wall so I’m hoping for something that will work for that.

So is there a better way to share this. It appears I was wrong. This file is 13.5MB. And showing as a RAW file when I look at the original file.

---------- Post added 02-19-18 at 09:48 AM ----------

Ok lets try this

Dropbox - IMGP0019.DNG

---------- Post added 02-19-18 at 09:54 AM ----------

Ok i dont understand. Drop box must somewhat modify the file too. The original file is very dark but yet the drop box version is quite bright. Strange

Hi Adam. Thanks for trying to help. I had another look and when i click on the link it brings up the picture, then i click the pic and then up in the top right corner theres 3 little dots that say "more options" Click that and theres the option to download. When i download the file i get a 13MB dng file show up in my download folder.

I took this photo last year on a northern ice fishing trip at roughly midnight. It was such a beautiful night on the lake that we decided to stick it out real late and see if we could have some better luck than we had during the day. I have never seen northern lights dance like they did that night. They changed colors so many times i could barely keep up. Sadly i didnt have a tripod with me so all could do is rest the camera on the box of my atv and hope for the best. I would love someone who has much better skill than i to take a swing at this.

EDITED TO REMOVE FAILED UPLOAD ATTEMPT. PLEASE ACROLL DOWN TO FIND THE CORRECT LINK TO THE RAW IMAGE.

I’m actually looking to post my RAW file and have someone edit it for me. I have limited editing skills but can make most of the shots I take look decent. This one however has gotten the best of me. Is anyone interested in taking a swing? If so how can I share it?

What’s everyone using to upload RAW files these days. I tried mediafire but the user and password that we used to have doesn’t seem to be active. I need someone to work some magic on a pic I took last year.

Hi. Its been awhile since i have been on here but im looking for a little help editing a photo i took last year. I tried logging into the mediafire account that we used to use for uploading RAW files to but it seems its been deactivated. Is there another route that everyone is using to share RAW files? I really need someone who knows what they are doing to work some magic.

It is a 30 second exposure. I tried less to minimalize the blurr from the movement of the northern lights but then it was too dark. In hindsight I should have shot it anyways and bumped the exposure up in post.
This was the most spectacular display I have ever witnessed. It was a surreal experience. Just 5 good pals out on the middle of a massive lake ice fishing into the night. The lights danced like this for at least an hour, first starting with green and then added the pink. Sadly I didn't have a tripod so I had to rest my camera on the rear storage box of the atv I was riding. I did have to crop to remove part of the front windshield and handlebars so I lost a little of the expanse of sky but not much.
