rcdurston, it must be the lens. I have no ca at all. But I must say, I have the second body now and also second 55mm lens, and I "feel" that there is a difference between the bodies ... canīt compare because the first one was stolen, but the actual body seems to be more "stable" ... canīcomplain about the service in Germany, been to Hamburg once and they were very kind and efficient ...

Martelli, I would recommend a camera insurance! I had "hundreds" of insurances but none will cover something ... enjoy your camera!

Laste week my new 645Z arrived - I hope I will be more lucky than the last time ...
One thing I realised is, and I can not describe it technically, but it "feels" more "stable" ... or "better performing" than the first one ... I know it sounds funny, but maybe it has something to to with an internal production update or so ...
Anyway, Iīm really happy and maybe someday some parts of my other equipment will show up somewhere ...
I also would like to thank all the people who shared my facebook page with the serial numbers ...

Ebay is really the worst place ... if you look how everybody is fakin their accounts ... selling stuff for 0,01 $ to get a good rating ... and, of course, German police is no help at all ...

No good news from the insurance - nothing is covered ...
I sold the rest of my canon equipment during the last days and I orderd a new 645 Z. I ordered the it with kit lens, which I quite liked ... also the 120mm macro ... and via ebay I bought the 75 2.8 from Japan ... I hope it will arriver some day ... I saw this guy from Canada, selling two 645 Z bodies the last days for something around 4500$ ... I donīt know how he can do this ... also very strange that he doesnīt deliver to Germany ...
Anyway, I hope that someday someone makes a mistake and maybe just some of my stuff will appear ...

Thank you very much for your support and you advices!
Iīve been to Frankfurt today and left flyers all over the place! I also went to some dodgy areas and talked to people in the shops.
Most of them said that the stuff is probably on its way to Eastern Europe ... I donīt know that ...
But some asked me very seriously about my reward and if Iīm really prepared to pay ... so at least it seems that Iīve been at the right places ...

Thank you for your support! Unfortunately I don t have the serial from the 150mm, bought it on ebay ... 35mm is registered can t rrgister the 645Z ... I will set an alert on ebay, good idea!

Sorry for posting this here ...
On the 22nd of August, my Pentax 645Z was stolen from my car in Frankfurt, Germany.
There was also the 90mm macro, the 55mm, the 35mm (MF) and the 150mm stolen.
(A Lenovo W540 was also in the car)
I tried to add the serial to the database, but there is no 645Z available.
I will pay a reward of 5000,- Euro if I get my equipment back!

Royce, this is exeactly my problem, the raw files are very underexposed, no chance in camera raw. Itīs a bit difficult for me to explain this in english, I can take a normal photo but then you donīt hear the correct noise of the "mirror" ... I also tried different lenses, same problem. I will contact Pentax.

Hm, removing the battery would mean an os error ...
I haven't used the MIRROR button yet, but when I had the problem, I tried it and it doesnt work ...
Try to contact pentax on monday ...

Hello,
I donīt know if my problem is what some call "mirror flop", but today, during a shooting, the mirror suddenly doesnīt go back.
I checked in live view but the screen was dark. I had to turn the camera on and off for a couple of times and I managed to get some more shots but it didnīt disapear completely.
I drove home, which was like a 2hour drive and when I arrived, I turned the camera on and did some (50-70) test shots, changing the camera orientation from landscap to portrait, but nothing happend, it seems to be ok now.
BUT ... I donīt want it happen again during my next shooting! I have no idea if this is a mechanical or a software problem .... My 645Z is 4 weeks old and I took like 3000 shots with it.
Has anyone the same experience? Would you recommend to bring it to service? It is very annoying for a camera worth that much money ...
Any advice would be helpful! Thank you very much!

I have the 35mm A and the 150mm FA, and I tried all options and I donīt have a problem at all.

I have my Z for 2 days only, but I have tested it before like lots of others did and I must say, this is a revolutionary machine! A sensation in medium format.
Watching the german press for the last 8 weeks I would like to suggest Ricoh to place more adverts ... it is very clear who the press / media loves ... Nothing new, but I still find this very embarrassing.
Anyway, whats the point in comparing a thing with the size of a cigarette pack with something like a medium format camera? We all know that size matters :D:D:D

Hi,
Iīm a photographer from Germany, Düsseldorf and a couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to work with a Pentax 645Z :D:D:D
I already sold half of my Canon stuff and Iīm definetly going to buy the 645Z ... Iīm not sure about the lenses yet, the 25mm and the 90mm macro seem to be the ones that I need, but I havenīt found any information about the combination with the 645Z yet. I hope I will learn some things about Pentax here and I can share my experience with the 645 when I got it :D
