Hi Guys,
I've been quite busy with my work for the last couple of months and haven't got the time to use my camera. As a result I left it in a dry box equipped with moisture absorber for 2 months.
I took my camera (K-5) out yesterday and noticed 5 tiny dark spots on my viewfinder. I tried the blower but it's still there and they don't move anywhere. I was stressed out and I blew it harder. Now, there is a tiny hair fracture, like really tiny and some rather opaque hair fracture I'm not sure what it is.
Then I tried to take some photos but those spots and hair fractures are not on the pictures, they're clean.
Does anyone know what could it be? And how to remove them?
Thanks in advance :)

IMHO, the body design & color looks really fascinating to me. Compared with the Q, I'm gonna go with Nikon by merely judging from the physical form.
However, I really like to see the JPEG comparison before making my final decision about which compact mirrorles I'm gonna buy.

I'll go with the DA 10-17.
I have a friend who is a photographer in a quite well known nightclub in Melbourne and he's got a Tokina 11-16 with him all the time. I mean, range wise you're better off with a wider lens, the crowd always wanna try to fit inside one single frame, it's gonna be difficult to use DA70 in this situation. :)

I got my camera on January 14th from Amazon, Serial number is 390xxxxxx and it was fine, no stains at all. I was freaked out finding so many people out there own defected cameras.
I run the suggested hot-to-find-stains test and it was clean, no stains.
Just enjoy your cameras, if it takes good picture, it's fine :)

Hi folks,
I'll be going on a trip with my family next week to Sydney and Great Ocean Road (Near Melbourne) and looking at my camera gear, I don't have a wide angle zoom to cover some scenery shoot with my family. Currently, I have:
Tamron 28-75 F2.8 and Pentax FA50mm 1.4
And I'm looking for something below $800 and came across to Pentax 16-45 or tamron 10-24... Can someone out there help me to choose, please...
Thank you,
Bossy

Hi Folks, I'm actually not that sure if this is the appropriate place to put this thread.
Anyway, i've got to do a research paper about Toxic Leaders from all around the world. What I mean Toxic can also be referred being coprruptive or harsh or wrongfull towards its followers/employees or even the enterprise itself. Currently, i need 5 leaders and I'm working on Kenneth Lay of Enron and Albert J. Dunlap of Sunbeam.
If *hopefully* any of Pentaxians here knows some other leaders with similar criteria and don't mind to share with me, I'll be really thankful for that.
Best regards,
Bossy.

Wow...
I was actually at the PMA in Melbourne last sunday and I talked with guy at the Pentax counter.
They seemed to be really restricted in giving information. I asked them about the possibility of a FF coming soon but they answered with a pale face.
Anyway, I've got to see and actually try 645D on my hand so I was extremely satisfied..

I was with the Monash Photo Club Melbourne Zoo outing when I took this picture. Actually I didn't really like the giraffe and zebra section as they smelled awful.
But, I came across with a weird idea to compose a different picture in the zoo instead of taking picture of a zebra's face.. Here it is, any suggestions or critiques are welcomed. |

Hm, I mean in terms of sharpness. I'm thinking about taking photography seriously, so I'm kinda torn between those two lenses..

Well, I'm considering this lens as my new walkaround zoom lens since my Kit lens is kinda cracky..
This might be OOT, but,not about the range, does it perform better than Tamron's 28-75 or Sigma's 24-70 at F.2.8 ??
Cheers..

I have no idea why they put limitation for the length of the lens, but I think it's all because of the pro photogs down near the court. They don't want someone else to take really close picture of the players.
Since i sat really far from the court, near the top, then it's impossible for me to get the player's face...
I was thinking about the Teleconverter as well, but at that time i didn't have any, so I was just using my primary lens..
But next year, i will attend the Aussie open and get some new gear (teleconverter) and try to slip it inside my bag... LOL...

They limit the lens range until 200mm, since my Tamron is 70-200, it is officially allowed to bring and use inside the stadium... Cool, isn't it ??
