Hi. I up graded from K10 to K20 in late Nov. Two weeks into my new camera I also notice some spots on my pictures. I never tried the dust alert function and could not believe the amount of dust. I activated the shaking cmos sensor and seemed to get most of it off. Hoping this wont become a problem

I was hoping the more experienced can help me with taking pictures that MAY have at times 5 , sometimes more in a group. Where to you focus? I had my family finally meet for some pictures at our local park and they did turn out ok I guess.

I had two rows. I focused on the second row believing the first will always come out sharp. Or do you focus on the front row? I shot at F/8 and had my ISO set at 100 AND and used center weight metering mode also shot in aperture mode. I did used my tripod because I have a problem with my hands shake too much. And must be because someone made a comment about them. One last thing My focal length was anywhere from 18mm to sometimes at 33mm using a my Tamron 18mm-200mm lens on my K20d. MY EARLY BIRTHDAY GIFT TO MYSELF Any helpful advise would be greatley appretiated

I have also been down that road with depression. 7 years ago myself. My twin brother had died and the year before that his wife had killed hersel. I took many different meds and tried many things to help me with my depression. I found my help in photography. i'm not great at it yet but I love the way it helps in placing my focus on it and not other things and finding this site is also great just seeing how other people do things

Wife came home with a used 70-210 sigma lens given to her today. Don't know much about this lens. Is it worth using it, or trash it.

Pentax k20 flash question

all my test shots have been in the av mode at 28mm and having the ISO set to auto at 100 to800. i was used to seeing the change in the shutter speed when i popped up the flash in my k10 but dont seeing this happening with my k20. even when my camera is telling me i have shutter at1/30 and to use flash, it still gives me the same shutter reading at 1/30 even when the flash pops up. ALWAYS STAYS THE SAME AT 1/30. . is this normal on the k20?

Pentax k20 flash question

Hi everybody. i am new to using the k20 and I need some help please. i just upgraded from the k10 and I still love it but I thought I would give this a try. I bought this camera on june 21st and love it. But I have notice that when i am using the aperture mode and the camera is telling me to use the flash, the shutter speed never changes. Forgive me If I don't explain this to well. here is a example. I have the ISO set on AUTO- 100-800. The camera gives me a reading of f8 at 1/30 with the ISO reading at 800. when i pop up the flash unit UP, it still is showing a shutter reading of 1/30 but the ISO has changed to 100. I'm sorry for this being so long. My question is this. Even though the ISO did change due to using the flash, shouldn't the shutter reading have changed too? it stayed at 1/30

Any help wold be great, thanks
